Bracey Historic Train Depot
Want to step back in time to the late 1800's? Staying at the historic Bracey Train Depot will give you that experience and more. The Depot is among one of the surviving buildings with the old post office across the street, the general store next door and landmarks. This section of Bracey Drive is at times secluded, just around the 'cut' and a half mile from I-85. EVERYONE is welcome and entire space is available for use. There is a small front and back yard. You will enjoy the area and the other historic buildings on the street. You can take a scenic two mile hike down the rail bed to Lake Gaston. All spaces are available to the guests. If you have any questions during your stay please don't hesitate to ask. Bracey is a small town but lots of fun things to do! There is Lake Gaston a short hike down the railroad bed, fishing, hiking, bike trails and a golf course. Getting around this small town is great if you love to walk, golf carts and bikes. Bracey is a small town, friendly community and a unique history that many, like myself, are trying to preserve. The money generated from renting the depot is used to renovate the Bracey General Store next door. As you look around the property and the other buildings you get a sense of what it was like during that time. So, please leave the house in the condition you found it.
