El Refugio de Luena is a former cattle stable converted into a cozy cabin with charm, located at the foot of the mountains of the Sierra del Escudo Natural Park, a short distance from Puerto del Escudo and the Ebro reservoir. The space The Refugio de Luena is a cozy cabin located at the foot of the mountains of the Sierra del Escudo Natural Park, walking distance to the Port of the Shield and the Ebro Reservoir. Old cattle barn, it was completely renovated respecting the original style of the house, but offering all the amenities to enjoy a pleasant and relaxing stay, surrounded by nature and the respectful activity of the farmers who graze their cattle. Near the house there are many options to walk, bike or organize excursions. You can also relax at any of the three nearby spas: Alceda, Corconte and Puente Viesgo, the latter used by the selection. The Dunes of Liencres National Park and its beach are about 45 min, the Ebro Reservoir 15 min. Bathing is allowed in enabled areas and is a gorgeous water sports spot. It also has numerous paths around it that allow you to take a nice walk with the views and colors it offers at sunset. There are caves with paintings dated in the Paleolithic, and nearby areas for adventure sports with monitors, with kid-friendly activities. It's an opportunity to enjoy the little things: Relax in open space, read a book in the garden, try the area's excellent meats cooked on the barbecue or stone oven, have breakfast outside, watching the sun stand in the side mountains, hear the silence and spend time with your people. Guest access The house is equipped with a ceramic stovetop, a refrigerator with a freezer, and a washing machine. It includes firewood, sheets, towels, and the optional use of a pair of bikes to enjoy the environment (check). We allow pets with no extra cost.
