In Alburgh, VT, just north of N. Hero, our cottages face Isle LaMotte to the west, with spectacular lake and sunset views. We have 8 cottages on site, so if you don’t see what you need, please ask. Perfect for relaxing, fishing, water sports, golfing, and to use as a home base for fun day trips. Wake up to stunning views of the lake from your private deck, and enjoy the clear starlit sky at night. Dogs are welcome with Owner approval and payment of a Pet Fee per dog per trip, maximum of 2 dogs. The space You will have complete use of the entire cottage. It is a stand-alone residence and will be yours for your entire stay. This cottage includes a sunny living room with six large windows which allow a beautiful view of Lake Champlain. There is a tile shower that is very spacious, porcelain tile floors throughout, kitchen appliances, including a dishwasher, cabinets and countertops. Our cottages are equipped with all the amenities you need for a memorable stay. Enjoy kitchens that are well-stocked with cooking gear, where you can whip up delicious meals using fresh, local ingredients from nearby farms, or barbecue outdoors, then eat on the lake-facing deck while taking in the breathtaking views. The drip coffee maker has a reusable filter; bring your own coffee. Stay connected with complimentary Wi-Fi, and cozy up in the lake-facing sunroom with a good book, board games, or TV for entertainment. This cottage has a full-sized washer and dryer in the unit. There are Adirondack-style chairs on the deck outside for sitting and enjoying the sun, breeze and view. The deck is a great place to enjoy a drink and food while taking in the beautiful western lake view, sunsets and birds. We have seen bald eagles, osprey, hummingbirds, red tail hawks, and numerous other birds. On a clear night, star gazing is amazing. Guest access You will have access to the shared waterfront that is a short walk (about 300 feet) down the road to the path or stairs that lead down to the water. There you will find a shale waterfront with a dock that you can use for swimming, sunning (we have a couple of lounge chairs down there) or fishing (some nice fish have been caught from our dock). There is a boat mooring ball available upon request (no tying up boats to dock). Some of our guests have enthusiastically hunted for shell fossils in the rocks on the beach and had great luck. You also can explore the 35 acres of meadows that are part of the property. We have walking trails cut in the grass when it gets too tall, before it is mowed for hay in July or August, so you can take a nice walk in this meadow and enjoy the wildlife and field views. Our field abuts the Alburgh Dunes State Park, which has further connecting trails through the woods and bog. You will have access to a shared gas grill and picnic table near your cottage and a common lawn area with usually 4 Adirondack chairs and a hammock. It is a beautiful place to sit in the summer under a shade tree and enjoy the scenery. We have cornhole and croquet for your use upon request. We also have a fire pit on the beach and kayaks for guests to use. Other things to note We have great sunsets, sunrises, moonrises, and night skies! Vt Room & Meals Tax # MRT-10649671.
