Set by itself & private on the same property as my 2 other cottages. During the COVED-19 virus time: we do accept bookings. we also have been self quarantining since March 2nd; our life usually is not that different :-) I block one day in my calendar before and after a booking to assure extra Coved-19 safety and go in with gloves and mask and first sanitize all handles and all the door knobs and light switches and most of the things a guest may touch. Then proceed cleaning the rest, after which I sanitize the door knob again before leaving. There is a Guest Sanitizing Station, including spray sanitizer, gloves, wet wipes, and sanitizing all purpose cleaner, by the entrance that may be used by you, the guest. I wash all linens in hot water. Bring your own cooked meals or deli-style food or cook in the Caravan. Feel free to ask questions. Welcome to this charming, private Tiny House that I call "The Caravan" ALL KIND PEOPLE WELCOME, no matter what religion-, sexual orientation- or country you are from! TO BE CLEAR: this space has WiFi issues, there is a land line. My lap top works there, but other devises may not! The WiFi is spotty, so I put in a land line that you may connect to via the phone jack or an apple-only adapter ( sorry but there are too many PC adapters at each around $40 that I won't get). The 15' yellow cord, which is located under the table with the stereo, will allow you to take the computer onto the porch via the window. Bring a device/ Computer that has a phone jack or an apple-only USB port on it for the phone line. If you need WiFi, book the Cottage or the House or the Apartment instead! The Caravan is set among the trees on 3 acres on beautiful Whidbey Island, 2 miles from the town of Freeland (antique stores, grocery store, post office, etc., etc.), about 5 miles from my favorite beach, "Double Bluff", that holds stunning views of the Cascade Mountains, Mt. Rainier, and the Olympic Mountains with miles of walking. The caravan is a cozy light- filled and airy space with its high ceiling and many windows and a skylight. The sleeping loft has an opening window and the skylight for a more spacious feel, as well as a comfy double size foam pad and futon mattress bed on a futon frame. PLEASE, look at all photos, number 5 & 6, of the LOFT space to understand the size of it!!! The galley kitchen is equipped with an under the counter fridge, a toaster oven, a 2 burner hot plate, a coffee maker, an electric tea kettle, all the dishes and basic condiments. The bathroom has a shower and a flushing toilet. This is not a regular septic tank, please flush only when absolutely necessary, and please put all paper and feminine products into the garbage can provided! As someone so wisely said: If it's yellow let it mellow. If it's brown flush it down. All linens are provided (towels and sheets). You may lounge on the inviting window bench seat to take in the open forest gully view, or enjoy the dial-up internet to write those long- due letters on your computer. Either way, this super quiet romantic place for two will leave you nurtured and nourished by its splendid green views and quiet nature surrounds. Please make sure to read the house rules and manual. Check in is at 4pm or later! Key code to retrieve the house key will be send to you upon completion of booking.
