Or BBQ in the backyard, enjoying dinner al fresco under the umbrella of the patio set on the deck with Flatirons views and greenery all around. Our walkable local neighborhood of South Boulder boasts lively indoor/outdoor restaurants offering Irish and American pub foods (Murphy’s, Southern Sun, Under the Southern Sun) to Indian and Chinese food. Great cafés, quintessential Boulder breakfast and lunch spots (Moe’s Bagels, South Side Walnut Café, Snarf’s Sandwich Shop), Ice cream shop, Bakery and 2 great super-markets, along with a handful of running, bicycle, mountaineering and other shops, all within a short walk out the front door. Our neighborhood also offers the quickest access to some of the most stunning open space along the Flatirons with amazing hiking and biking trails such as Bear Creek, NCAR trails, and Shanahan Ridge while being a 5-minute ride to more trails in Chatauqua, Eldorado Canyon and Marshall Mesa. You will love Martin Park, just a block away, with its fantastic playground and picnic area along Bear Creek and the bike path with views to the Flatirons. Or take a more vigorous walk to Veile Lake adjoining the South Boulder Rec Center with its family friendly park, picnic areas and gorgeous Flatiron Views. Completely accessible by public transport, all the way from the Airport to our home just a ½ block from the bus line; to NIST (.5 m), NOAA (.5 m), CU (1.5 m), and the heart of Boulder (2.5 m) – the Pearl Street Mall – bustling with locals and tourists alike, street entertainers, bars, restaurants and shops.
