Sooo close (e~z walkable) to the Lake and Dog Friendly Village. The embracing and welcoming "Ahhhdorable" Vintage Cottage will be perfect for a visit to Big Bear! The space Ahhhdorable and Romantic 1920's cabin has its roots in the history with the old days and ways of Very Early Big Bear. It was the First Aid cabin station that all the fisherman, cabin renters, boy scouts and campers visited for their minor medical needs, as it was centrally located. You will see some of the discovered vintage pictures, treasures and artifacts "shadow boxed" displayed that we found while remodeling the cabin! We purchased this cabin as a true VERY Vintage Original, yearning for its own historical restoration needs and rescue it we did! That sweet little cabin has been completely remodeled and upgraded with maximum considerations and in the nicest ways for your personal enjoyment and comfort. There are three different flavored Apple Trees for Autumn pickings (starting September-ish) and who doesn't LOVE the smell of homemade baking hot Apple Pie inside of an Ahhhdorable Vintage Cottage in Big Bear? You will enjoy the fragrant pine air, the location (walkable straight to the Village) and the cozy very embracing environment. It even has a (heating) gas fireplace, it's also a heater, and a Summer Air Conditioner. Now a "heads up" on this: TRY to stay at least TWO Nights. To drive up one day to check in at 3pm only to turn around and have to pack-up and leave the next day by 11am cuts what your true vacation up in the mountains can provide for you! TRY to stay at least two nights so you can have a free day in the middle (of driving up and down the mountain) to enjoy being in the basic center of Big Bear! You are so near to the fun walkable Village (leashed dogs allowed!) and eating and exploring and relaxing! Just think about it! You deserve this experience and you have earned the time off! Oh! Guest access Full kitchen, bedroom, a new (SO Comfortable) queen mattress, cable TV, WIFI, hide-a-way bed couch, >>>(*Note: We have also just installed a Temper-pedic Mattress in the small Full Size Hide-A-Bed Couch so it WILL BE HARDER to open (and close) because it is now THICKER in the "pull-out" and" push-back" in. Be patient, slow and gentle when you open and close the heavier couch bed (please) >and you must push the bar down before you lift and push the bed back in. We wanted to create that bed as nice as a place to sleep in as your Queen Bed in the bedroom. Now it is! You also have a (gas connected (to the house) barbecue, and a secondary gas heater front room fireplace for your cozy ambiance. The Cottage is a very easy walk to Big Bear Lake and the Village so be sure to walk your leashed dog(s)! into the Village town for shopping discoveries! There is also a small dog/stroller that we have provided at the Cottage for your use if desired. *NO animals to be "left alone" in the cottage while you go out and play/shop/ski etc. UNLESS you bring a crate for them. * Entry story-book outside gate does NOT have automatic closer (always close by hand) to keep children/animals inside yard and safe! *PLEASE pick up all animal waste. Special sanitizer spray after pick-up is available upon entry of cottage. Thank you and have SO. MUCH. FUN. !!!! NOW!~Upon Exiting: THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT YOU NEED TO TAKE YOUR GARBAGE OUT WITH YOU. IF the cleaning crew has to remove your garbage they will charge me (your host) an additional ($10.00) TEN DOLLARS per BAG No matter how small. Air BnB will create the host to be reimbursed by you (the guest) after exiting IF you leave your garbage behind. Notes to we owners by all Big Bear Cleaners: 1. The Cleaning Crew reports the left-behind garbage to their Company. They send pictures. 2. The Company charges the host the extra $ for payment to take away. (10 dollars per bag) 3. The host reports the extra charge to Air BnB. 4. Air BnB then re-charges the guest (in full) for all garbage removal. *There is a dump place /dumpsters on your way out of town to your right (39690 Big Bear Blvd~can’t miss it) It’s just the "rules" of the cleaning crew. Please forgive any inconveniences. It's just the darn "law" for ALL of the cleaning companies up in Big Bear. Other things to note > NOTE~! >BECAUSE OF THE HORRIFIC FIRES 9/24 YOU MUST BE AWARE BIG BEAR ELECTRIC OFTEN closes down ALLLLLL the electrical Grid in Big Bear for Fear of "Spark" Fires. Closing down all of Big Bear happens, it's spontaneous, and it's not your hosts fault. So just be aware of that possibility (anytime) dear guests. > Remember! >NO DOGS CAN BE LEFT IN THE COTTAGE BY >THEMSELVE(S)! > Safety! You must "hand close" the walk-in gate and make sure its latched, to keep pups and kids, in the yard. > There are three different types of apple trees that will make the best autumn pies if you choose to bake! Bring Crusts! Many (Apple-in the Autumn) Recipes will be there, available for your perusing options! > Skis and board equipment can be placed outside in the back of the cottage. PLEASE, not inside. > If you feel like throwing the hose out, and watering the apple trees, (it's like therapy to water trees) we would be very appreciative of that ! > The Ahhhdorable Cottage is a wonderful (beautifully re-done) old Vintage Days 'n ways location and was the main Big Bear Medicine shanty for light injuries. You will love the vintage mementos we found while digging and remodeling, they will be displayed there! History pictures are there for you to see too! And you are walking distance to the Historical Big Bear Village! A drive to the old museum would be an awesome venture too~! Have so much fun! And we know you will~!!
