A BEAUTIFUL UP NORTH GET-A-WAY! This two bedroom cottage is located on Sand Lake in National City. Beautiful views out every window! WIFI AND ROKU TV.. Area includes 6 other inland lakes and the Sand Lake Trail head for ORV and snowmobile use. A short drive to Lake Huron, East Tawas, and the Au Sable River. The Cottage includes two bedrooms, a full bathroom with tub and shower, a kitchen with all the cooking basics, and a living room with two queen sized fold out couches. The backyard offers a dock on Sand Lake, a fire pit (please supply your own firewood or buy some here locally, we have a list of places to purchase wood on the fridge) , and a charcoal grill (please bring your own charcoal.) We do have a DVD player and plenty of DVD's, board games, card games, coloring activities, and some other family friendly activities! Launch your boat at the public Sand Lake access and dock your boat in the backyard (dock use from memorial day to labor day, dock does come out during fall and goes back in late spring) The public boat launch is just a two minute drive up the road. Sand Lake also has great public beach area for you to enjoy as well, it's the perfect spot for a picnic and a day of swimming! Recent weather conditions have changed the beach a bit behind the cottage. Its nice and sandy till the waters edge, the water in front of the home is VERY mucky on the bottom and we would suggest you wear water shoes when swimming or going to the public beach. We also encourage you jump off the dock to swim instead of walking in from the mucky shore. If you don't prefer swimming in front of the cabin, you can take the paddle boat or Kayaks OR take the 2 minute drive to the beautiful public beach up the road. we also suggest you bring bottled waters to drink, as the home does have hard well water which not everyone has a taste for. You will have the whole cottage to yourself, along with the patio and beach area out back. Includes use of a paddle boat and 2 new kayaks! Outdoor chairs and a charcoal grill! We are available by phone or text anytime! The Neighbors are very nice! The cottage is located on a quiet side road. Perfect area for walks or bike rides. The beach behind the cabin is not ideal for swimming and is very mucky but there is a great public beach down the road Beach is not ideal for swimming! Book a stay of 3 Nights or more and receive an addition night for free. Please book the reservation for the full amount of time you want to stay including your "extra night." The site will have you pay for all nights including the extra. The following is done after every stay ALWAYS. All bathroom fixtures, kitchen fixtures, tables, counters, and nightstands are sprayed and cleaned with a bleach cleaner. All towels and bedding are washed and replaced. Carpeting and rugs are thoroughly vacuumed, and all hard surface floors are mopped with a disinfectant. We also disinfect highly touched surfaces like door handles, TV remotes, and light switches. We provide disinfectant wipes, hand soup, paper towel, and toilet paper for guest to use as needed during their stay. We are doing everything we can to make sure our place is a clean and safe environment for guests to relax.
