Tucked at the end of a long driveway in a stunning setting is our cozy, comfortable hillside cottage -- a perfect getaway in the Catskill Mountains. Enjoy incredible views with nature all around you from the wraparound deck or relax inside by the wood stove. You'll feel a world away while having convenient access to area's best attractions. The space The Catskills Hillside Cottage is a cozy, well-equipped, dog-friendly retreat that can comfortably sleep 4-6 people. The cabin is set back from the road on three acres and features 2 bedrooms, 1 ½ bathrooms, a well-stocked kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, an open living and dining area, and a loft overlooking the living space. The two bedrooms are each on a different floor for additional privacy. The full bathroom with a tub/shower is next to the main floor bedroom and the tiny ½ bathroom is upstairs en suite to the second bedroom. The loft is a great space to read or write with views outside to the field below or curl up and watch a movie from our DVD library or with the use of our streaming services. At the center of the living space is the original Jotul wood stove to keep you warm on chilly Catskills nights. There are plenty of board games and records to enjoy while indoors. The bedrooms have memory foam mattresses, warm wool blankets, and amenities for families with little ones include a pack n’ play, toddler cot, and a hiking carrier. The home is set back from the road far enough to enjoy true quiet and privacy, but it is still convenient to area attractions: hiking, skiing, antiquing, farmers markets, and terrific local stores and restaurants. The charming downtowns of Andes and Margaretville are 10-15 minutes away. An AWD vehicle is recommended in all seasons. Guest access Guests have private access to the entire cottage and surrounding acres that extend to the edge of the forest. Other things to note There is a trail camera in the forest to view the animals.
