Charming and Cozy in El Cerrito location

Charming, warm and cozy 2 bedroom, 1 bath in a lower duplex apt., fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, private backyard, plenty of street parking. It comfortably fits 4 people. Walk 5 min to BART, blocks from variety of restaurants/shops. The space Completely private, charming and cozy apartment with private entrance in a convenient location, within walking distance to everything urban life has to offer, yet it has a comfortable small town feel. The apartment can comfortably accommodate 4 people, 5 the most for a short stay. First bedroom has a queen size bed and second bedroom has a full size bed, living room has a sofa that can be converted into a full size sofa bed. There is wifi connection, a flat screen TV with expanded cable in the living room and first bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped so you can cook a full meal. The backyard is private with a bistro set up, lounge chairs, a hammock, and a BBQ gas grill. It's a perfect place to relax with a glass of wine, drink coffee or tea in the morning or to just simply nap or read a good book. The bathroom is supplied with towels, toilet paper, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste. If you happen to forget personal toiletries, ie: shaving cream, feminine products, etc. check the box crate above the shelving unit in the laundry room. The laundry room with washer/dryer has detergent for basic laundry wash. There is also an iron and an ironing board. In case of power outages, there are candles and matches and flashlights with batteries. There will be maps, BART schedule, AC transit schedule, city guide, and local magazines/publications. I occupy the upper unit with my daughter and we also have a very friendly and playful German shepard, name Bella and a fearless black cat, name Salem. Both are very friendly and will approach the guests especially Bella and might try to get inside the apartment just to say hi. I will try my best to coordinate my schedule and the guests arrival time, but to make check in process easy there will be a lock box on the door knob and I will give the combination to the lock box at least five days before the arrival date. My guests privacy is of utmost importance and I make sure this is maintained throughout their stay, but please feel free to ask me questions by phone, text or in person, if you see me puttering around, or message me via Airbnb. I'm very familiar with the area and I love living here and I would be more than glad to give you any information and recommendations to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible. If I don't pick up my phone right away, I will call you back within 5 minutes as long as the call is between the hours of 6 am to 9 pm. This is a safe and quiet neighborhood with an eclectic mix of single family homes and apartments. It's within walking distance to a park, creek, public transportation (BART/AC transit); shops, restaurants/cafes, movie theater, bowling alley, climbing gym and yoga studio - all are a few blocks away. Plenty of hiking and biking trails, all within less than three miles, and If you’re looking for something more challenging I will gladly give some recommendations. There is a farmer's market on Saturdays and Tuesdays at the El Cerrito Plaza, Wednesdays in Albany a mile away, and Off the Grid Food Trucks on Wednesdays. You can get around by car with freeway access less than 5 min away. Or you can walk 5 min to BART/AC Transit. Various cafes/restaurants/pubs/shops/movie theater/bowling alley/bikram yoga studio are only blocks away, 1 mile to Solano Ave. in Albany with more shops and restaurants. 2 miles to Berkeley, 10 min. by car to Emeryville and Oakland, 30 min to SF by BART. Plenty of hiking/biking trails. For guests coming with a car, there are plenty of street parking. Make sure you're parked in appropriately designated spaces. You will be ticketed if parked or partially covering a driveway and if part of your car is on a red. Guest access Laundry room with washer and dryer, private backyard.
