Description
Close to Asheville, down a quiet gravel road that overlooks a secluded valley, our house sits on seventeen acres of forest and meadow. You're invited to explore the grounds, to find tiny creeks, dense thickets, long views and giant trees. Trails crisscross the property, so hiking, bird watching, & nature bathing are right outside the door. Or just relax on our spacious deck. We offer country casual comfort with easy access to downtown Asheville, the French Broad River, & the Blue Ridge Parkway. The space Helene Update: We were very fortunate with the recent hurricane. There was no damage to the house, but many trees were blown down. The trails close to the house have all been cleared. Power, water, and Internet are all normal. Relax on our oversize deck to look out over a private cove, only eight miles from downtown. We're five minutes from groceries, and zero minutes from beauty, peace and quiet. Inside there's a living room with a tv, piano and games. The family room, with a limited use fireplace, is adjacent to the kitchen and 2 additional bedrooms that offer distinct privacy. Granite kitchen counters offer seating for three, while the main dining area can accommodate at least 8. The peaceful, outdoor environment is a welcome respite from a busy life. We hope those who experience this hidden jewel will relax, look up at the stars, and enjoy the beauty, creativity and energy our region offers. Guest access Guest will have the full run of the house, and access to the seventeen acres it sits on. Other things to note The house is one half mile down a gravel road. We hear birdsong and the sigh of wind through the trees more often that sirens or car horns.
