Funky Craft Cabin in the Woods!

This space is nestled within the trees while only a short 15 minute drive to downtown Boone. The studio provides private sleeping quarters for 1-2 people on a full size futon that feels like a bed. There is also a couch if you have a 3rd person, or plenty of room on the floor to bring an air mattress (additional fee for 3rd person). You can hear howards creek from bed and sleep with the windows open. Shared kitchen and bathroom located within the main house. Enjoy large deck for relaxing. The space I have a small, 15x15 craft studio behind my home that I have often set up for visiting guests. It is a detached building and you will have to come inside to use the bathroom and kitchen. I like to say you are "glamping", kind of like camping, except you have a bed (futon) and a nice tin roof to hear the rain! You have full access to the kitchen and downstairs bathroom. Dogs are welcome if they are friendly. So are children :) I have a small child who may or may not be home when you stay. You can have complete privacy or you can hang with us, whatever you prefer. There's a small deck outside of the studio, and a large deck outside of my home that you can relax on. There are also hammocks, a fire pit, hiking trails, and a slack line to practice your balancing! My home is our haven from the outside world and we love to share it with guests. There is no wifi or TV. There are lots of board games and quiet spots for reading, relaxing, and hiking. Guest access You will have access to the main house and are welcome to hang out inside. The downstairs guest bathroom will be yours for your stay. You can also share my kitchen and have access to a washer and dryer if needed. Other things to note I have a cat who is friendly and may come and visit you. There is no wifi and there may not be cell service, depending on your plan! It is a place to retreat to, read, contemplate, and relax. A wonderful home base for exploring the high country with hiking trails right outside your door. The cabin itself is very peaceful and calming.
