Charming A-Frame at Hermit Lake

Rustic cabin in the heart of the Lakes Region, New Hampshire’s four season playground. Short walk to the beach or take our canoe and kayaks to explore Hermit Lake or go fishing. This camp is centrally located and easy to get to. 20 minutes to Winnisquam, Winnipesaukee, and Newfound Lake. Hiking trails nearby and the White Mountains are only 30 minutes north. 30 minutes to Ragged Mountain and Tenney Mountain and 35 to Gunstock for winter skiing. A perfect New England getaway all year long! The space This cozy a-frame makes for a great romantic getaway, but can comfortably sleep 5. Open floor plan on the first floor with well-equipped kitchen, full bath as well as the queen pullout sofa, voted one of the comfiest sleepers around. Curl up by the fireplace (you must provide your own firewood), play cards, boardgames, or have fun on our vintage Super Nintendo. Though we don’t have cable, there are plenty of movies as well as a Chromecast for you to stream all of your favorites. Upstairs are the two bedroom areas. Please note, there are no doors separating the rooms, they are divided by privacy curtains in the entryways. Queen Casper mattress in the master with a memory foam twin daybed in the small side room. Outside, laze in the hammock or enjoy lunch at the picnic table. Our place is equal parts woodsy hideaway and glamping cabin with a mid-century modern twist. We enjoy beautiful views of the lake from the cabin and it is a short walk to be able to access the lake for swimming or boating. Hermit Lake is a 223-acre lake with a 10hp motor limit. It is peaceful and scenic, perfect for canoeing, kayaking, and swimming. Feel free to pack light! We provide everything you need to enjoy the lake from beach towels, chairs and coolers to life vests and dry bags. There are 2 kayaks, a canoe, and 2 bikes for your use as well. We also have 2 sets of snowshoes for the winter. The boat launch is a short walk from the house. We provide wheels for easy manual transport of the canoe or kayaks. We also provide fishing rods; please provide your own bait. New Hampshire requires a permit for fishing. In the winter, the lake is perfect for ice fishing and snowshoeing. One disclaimer: If you are above 6 feet tall, the shower may be a little snug for you. The tub itself is full-size, though it is a narrow area to access it from. Other things to note Please note the stairs to the second floor sleeping area are quite steep and only have a railing to one side.
