The Kingfisher Cottage

The Peaceful Pelican is a comfortable 1910 Victorian home full of charm and located on scenic Matagorda Bay. Enjoy the view from the widow’s walk high above the Bay, or just relax and watch the water from the front porch. On weekends enjoy a full delicious 4-course breakfast seated at the dining table overlooking the Bay. We offer a tranquil stay away from the stresses of city life. Palacios has no traffic, no waiting lines, and is full of friendly laid back people. The space The newest addition to The Peaceful Pelican is the Kingfisher Cottage. It is one room with a Queen size bed, sitting area with small table and chairs, a kitchenette, and full shower ensuite. The Kingfisher has a small patio with a partial view of Matagorda Bay and has walking access to the East Bay park, public fishing piers, and walking trail. Please note that this suite does not include breakfast. However, you can purchase breakfast separately for $15 per person if the Main House isn't at full capacity. Breakfast is served in the Main House dining room from 8am to 10am. Pets are welcome. There is a $25 pet fee per pet with a 2 pet limit.
