The space The Elm is a free-standing house with a fenced back yard, off street parking. This was my full time home for many years and has been maintained with cheerful appreciation and filled with thoughtful and cozy touches throughout. Like anything that is 113 years old, you will find some creaking joints and vintage quirks (while our price is not steep, our stairs are) that may be better suited to some travelers than others. Expect to find fast Wi-Fi with quaint aging and patina both inside and outside. We are growing old gracefully! Take a look at the floor-plans and policies to see if you’re a good match. Guest access Full use of the house and fenced yard (minus garage, a few closets and cabinets where we keep our things). 1 Off Street parking space provided! Plenty of street parking available as well, but you need to call the car into the Village each night. Instructions provided to confirmed guests. In- house laundry use upon request Other things to note - Our location has a 74/100 walk score! - Semi Urban area, yet tranquil at night. You will see parking lots and delivery trucks from our house. You will hear sounds of cars coming/going. Folks walk in our alleys as we are walking distance to shopping and restaurants. - STAIRS; 7 steps to get into the house. Not suitable for those with mobility challenges or lots of large luggage. - House is NOT child proofed. NOT Suitable for small children. - Refer to floor-plans for our home’s unique layout. We have 2 bathrooms upstairs, none downstairs. - Our 113 year old bungalow has small rooms and bathrooms compared to post war construction. Creaky original Maple floors also come with the territory. - Low ceiling soffits are 6'-0" in areas downstairs. Low clearance into lower level. We share the side alley with a fascinating small business, Nadeau’s Ice Sculptures. Trucks are loaded 5 days a week outside our kitchen window. You will hear them during business hours. Feel free to say "hi”! They park their Sprinter Van on my lot, and the owner, Max, helps maintain our lawn. *Free tours of their shop are available, inquire with me to book.* - Well behaved dogs are welcome, with a small pet fee (since it usually takes longer to vacuum and lint roll). 2 dogs max. Your pups should be well trained and not to left alone in the house, unless crated. Fluffy Dog bed, and food/water bowls are provided.
