Just a mile off of Highway 65 sits Tongue Creek Ranch. The Ranch is located in the fertile valley junction of Tongue Creek & Surface Creek. Enjoy your own private 2 bed 1 bath ranch house. Both bedrooms have a super comfy pillow top queen size bed. WIFI is a fast 1gig fiber optic line. Enjoy a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and a sofa in the family room. The front patio is always in the shade. Ask about the optional cabin on site for use as a private detached room for overflow family. The space Situated at the end of Tongue Creek Ranch you will find a lovely 2 bedroom, 1 bath ranch house cabin in a beautiful, private setting. Tongue Creek Ranch is a horse and hay farm. From the Ranch House patio, enjoy the peaceful views of Grand Mesa and the park-like setting of the grounds. Our ranch house have comfortable pillow top, queen size beds and FAST 1 Gig fiberoptic wifi and a Smart TV. and EV charging close down at the workshop. On occasion you can watch horse owners working with their horses in the arena, just outside the front door. There is also a fire pit for our guests where you can enjoy the star-filled nights. You might also want to walk down to the 45 acres of hay and see the bulls (on the other side of the fence) or visit with the horses at the corrals. Take pictures to share with friends and family when you visit with our friendly goats, chickens and miniature donkeys. The kids can also play on the big cedar swing set, slide and fort right outside to front door in a park like yard. You may also just listen to the creeks, enjoy the scenery and absorb the peace and quiet. Ask about the optional cabin next door for use as a private detached room for overflow family. Pets are allowed and the Ranch House has a fenced backyard and patio just for them. Tongue Creek and Surface Creek run around the property, so please be aware if traveling with young children. Guests can also bring their own horse and take advantage of the riding arena and well-kept stalls, if available. If interested, please contact the owners in advance to make arrangements. Powderhorn Ski Area, Grand Mesa National Forest, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Sweitzer Lake and several large reservoirs are only a short distance away. Wineries, antique shopping, fruit tree orchards, mountain bike trails and ATV riding on the 100 mile Adobe Hills that line the ranch are only some of the things you can do in the immediate area. Use the Tongue Creek Ranch as basecamp for your Western Slope vacation. Guest access The Ranch is a working hay farm in the spring, summer and fall. In the winter, cows and bulls roam the hay fields. Guests have often commented that our goats were one of their favorite features but don't miss the star of the show BoMama our miniature donkey. Also, let us know if you would like some fresh eggs from the chickens. Enjoy our big fire pit for your s’mores and star gazing. You can set the fire up yourself (we have supplies) or we can do it for you, just let us know! David and Barb welcome you to look around but please contact them before feeding any of the animals due to important food restrictions. Kids and pets must be supervised, thank you! Other things to note The front door has a key pad lock. Text us for the code. Also, the kitchen has all the dishes and cookware needed including a Keurig ("k-cup") maker. Bring your favorite k-cups but we also provide a few so you have something on hand when you arrive.
