Description

This is your home away from home! It's the perfect place to get away with family or friends, on a quiet residential street, only 1 mile from the beach. This 3 BR/2 BA dog-friendly house was remodeled and furnished specifically for guests. Comfortable seating areas inside and outside let everyone spread out and relax. With wifi, coffee and beach towels to surfboards and beach chairs, the house is stocked with many things to help you enjoy your trip. The space We want you to know that we’re doing our part to help our Airbnb guests stay safe by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) before you check in. All bedrooms are as comfortable and as lounge-worthy as possible: luxury mattresses, soft luxury sheets, fluffy down comforters, both down and fiberfill pillows, TVs, as well as closets, dressers and bedside stands for guest storage. Each bedrooms get tons of natural light as well, especially in the morning. - Master bedroom has a queen bed and en suite bathroom, and spiral staircase to a fun loft perfect for lounging or peeking at the ocean view. - Second Bedroom has queen bed, access to second full bathroom through the hall, and great natural light. - Third Bedroom has a bunk bed with two twin mattresses, and lots of natural light from the skylight. Take advantage of all the beach stuff we have available! 2 foam top surfboards, 2 boogie boards, floating noodles, beach chairs, umbrella and beach towels. Beach toys are provided for the kiddos. All the boards are located in a board rack on the side yard of the house. Back patio has a gas BBQ and table for outdoor dining, allowing you to enjoy the awesome weather we have year round. There's also an outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing off when coming home from the beach, and there is plenty of space to store surfboards, kayaks, bikes etc if you have them. Or come in through the side gate, drop your beach stuff in the backyard and enter through the laundry room right into the 2nd bathroom. Backyard is fully fenced for kids or dogs to safely roam around. There are extra towels (dark green) for drying off any dogs who have enjoyed the beach. Front yard is private, and has a fire pit and lounge area that can be used until 10pm. It's also a great place to have coffee while you wake up in the morning. Smoking area has been set up with chairs as well, with a great view of the rest of the yard. Kitchen is fully equipped with all the basics: service for 8, pots and pans, glassware, utensils, coffee maker, coffee, toaster, towels, filtered drinking water, stainless steel refrigerator, new stainless gas range and stainless dishwasher. A skylight and corner windows let in natural light and breezes. The Great Room includes the dining and living areas, and opens up onto the back patio via french doors. The dining table seats up to 8 people. Living room has skylights, leather couches, HDTV, and bluetooth sound bar for music streaming. Bathrooms have fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, Q-tips and cotton balls, and places to store your stuff while there. Master bath has a hairdryer. Second bathroom has been newly remodeled and gets lots of natural light. Laundry room is fully equipped with new washer and dryer, and holds the beach towels, chairs, water noodles, umbrella and cooler when not in use. There is business grade wifi. Smarts TVs are internet capable so you can log in and watch your favorite apps. AC Like most homes in Coastal CA, we do not have air conditioning. Please carefully consider whether this will work for you and your group. Fans are provided to help circulate air and assist in cooling the house down at night, and most of the time a cool ocean breeze is blowing. Summer/Fall here usually means sunny hot days and mostly cool nights; August is the hottest month and can have higher humidity and no ocean breeze. THE BEACH You can walk to the beach or downtown, it is about a 10-15 minute walk, just be aware that the house is at the top of a hill, and some of the neighborhood streets are narrow and do not contain sidewalks. Neighborhood locals walk to the beach all the time, but if you are carrying a lot of gear or have young children we recommend the 5 minute drive. THE FREEWAY The freeway is rarely heard at the house. Though on the map it appears close to the I-5, the topography of the area prevents freeway noise: house is up a steep embankment from the freeway and there are 3 rows of residential housing complete with old growth foliage and trees that further filter out any sound. The usual on-shore winds also blow sound eastward, away from the house. THE TRAIN The train runs right along the coast in Encinitas many times per day and some during the night. The further you are away from the ocean, the less you hear it. A poll of past guests showed that they are not bothered by/do not notice the train horns, but if you are very sensitive to noise you might. Streets are have no lights and no sidewalks so transportation is recommended after dark. Guests must have complete Airbnb profiles with picture and government ID verified before booking, and include all required info in booking request (detailed in house rules). Outside security cameras are for the safety of the property and guests and will be reviewed at any time as necessary. City of Encinitas STR Permit# RNTL-024600-2023 HOUSE RULES 1) INFORMATION REQUIRED in booking request: please describe what brings you to the area, the people included in reservation (family members, friends, children), any pets, and number of cars expected to be parked at residence. Also include any boats or trailers you expect to park at the house. Guests must have complete Airbnb profiles with picture and government ID verified before booking. No Third Party bookings will be accepted - the person doing the booking must also be staying at the house. 2) Guest is required to also send the Host a photo of their government-issued picture ID upon acceptance of reservation. This can be a driver's license, passport, military ID, etc. This is for identification purposes only; information will not be distributed or used for any other purpose. Refusal to provide ID will cause cancellation of any reservation. 3) 7 person maximum occupancy at any time (this number includes any visitors). Host will give specific details on parking before booking. 3 car maximum. Do not impact neighbors' ability to park in front of their homes or use their driveways. 4) Please be considerate of the neighbors. Neighborhood is dead quiet at night and houses are close together, making it easy to unintentionally disturb those nearby. NO loud music, loud talking/yelling, or loud noise during quiets hours of 10PM to 7AM. Even normal conversations outside late at night will be heard by neighbors. Daytime and nighttime noise must be kept to a reasonable level expected of a family home in a residential neighborhood. Partying is not allowed. Breakage of this rule will result in a minimum of $150 from deposit per incident and termination of stay not subject to refund. This is a VERY quiet neighborhood so yes, the neighbors can hear you - one in particular will come over to the complain about unreasonable noise and then stay for an hour to talk about the details of her divorce, so consider yourself duly warned. 5) Check-in is after 4pm , and Check-out time is 11am, unless otherwise arranged prior to check-in. Extra fees will be charged for extra stays not arranged ahead of time or offered by host. 6) PET POLICY: You must declare your intention to bring a pet in the Booking Request. Please clean up after your pet. Pets must be well trained, non-damaging, house trained and clean before arrival. We love animals and would like to continue to welcome them! No pets on any furniture. Pets need to be supervised, and kept from damaging the house, fence, and any plants. Any animal poop left in yard is subject to a $50 fee. Holes and any yard damage or house damage are also subject to minimum $50 fee depending on the state of the yard. Dogs cannot be left alone in the home or yard unless they can handle it without barking/howling/whining or damaging the house/yard - distressed dogs that are making noise or doing damage must be dealt with immediately. If owner cannot return soon enough to deal with a distressed dog, it may end up being relocated to Host's house until the owner comes back. Neighbors will complain to us immediately of any dog barking/whining/howling or digging under fence, etc. 7) If you need to take out the trash during your stay, the garbage and recycling bins are located in green fenced area near the street in corner of the front yard. Bins will not have to be moved by guest for collection unless we specifically request. If so, trash collection day is Friday, and bins may be on the street no earlier than Thursday at sunset and collected no later than Friday at sunset. 8) Extra guests are not allowed unless communicated and approved prior to check in date. Total number of guests must stay within 7 person maximum. 9) No smoking in house, and no cigarette/cigar butts allowed inside house or house trashcans. Any smoking must be done in designated smoking area in front yard, so smoke does not enter house or bother neighbors. No illegal substances of any kind. 10) Breakage or Damage of any kind to house or contents must be communicated to host immediately, and depending on item will be subject to deposit claim. 11) Firepit can be used until 10pm. Please handle firepit and fire starters responsibly and for their intended use. No additional BBQs, meat smokers, Air conditioners, or any appliances may be brought and used. 12) Guest booking the house is responsible for making sure all members of their group know and follow the house rules. 13) Contact host before sending requests longer than 21 days. Reservations longer than 29 days will require signature of a separate rental agreement. Reservation will be cancelled if agreement is not signed and returned. If hosts find that any of above rules were not followed, there will be minimum $150 claim made on deposit per incident, and may go to maximum deposit amount depending on extent. Guest's stay will be terminated immediately if still in progress, not subject to any refund. Guest will be responsible for costs of any city/county citations and/or fines arising out of breakage of House Rules. Guest access It's all yours for the length of your stay! You'll have exclusive access to the whole house, including backyard, front yard, deck, kitchen, laundry room, wifi, etc. There is a garage down below at the back of the property that is off limits.
