Studio Apartment • spacious bed/sitting room brimming with character • rustic wood walls, casual furnishings, original art. 1870 farmhouse set in 300 acres of peaceful woodlands and wildlife. 5 minutes to Haliburton Village, 10 minutes to our famous Sculpture Forest and Haliburton School of Art+Design (HSAD). 20 km to Sir Sam's Ski/Ride (mountain biking), 34 km to Haliburton Forest and Wolf Centre. Visit Algonquin Park with a driving loop of three and a half hours round-trip. The space A simple food prep corner • private ensuite bathroom. Queen size bed has double pillows and a reading lamp each side. Two reclining chairs • an antique pine writing desk • a dining table in the main room. A cafe table plus armchairs in the sunroom. A small covered deck with Haliburton chairs offers a peaceful view of nature. Lots of books and games. There is no actual kitchen. A servery corner is equipped with dishes, glasses, cutlery, utensils. Appliances = microwave • toaster • kettle • automatic coffeemaker • the tiniest fridge! A camp-style basin is set up to wash dishes and food - but no kitchen sink. Guest access You are welcome to explore Wildwood's forest and wetlands but there are no formal trails. Park where indicated by host. We'll meet you in the driveway! Other things to note If you plan to hike our wild woodlands, come prepared. Proper footwear is essential, hat and long pants advised. Expect temperature swings. It can be buggy spring/ summer. Snow can be really deep... To visit in winter, you must have at least 2 out of 3 of these • an SUV with good clearance • 4WD • real winter tires. We offer snowshoes.
