Our private 1 BR retreat with a queen bed and full sofa bed has fast wi-fi, smart tv, and a peaceful second story porch in the trees. Walk to top spots like Hole Doughnuts, Taco Billy, or Owl Bakery in only 10 mins or drive 5 mins to downtown Avl and the River Arts District. Our 450 square foot carriage house is light-filled, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches to make your stay feel just right. Whether you’re here for a romantic weekend, a solo reset, or a fun family trip, this sweet spot in the heart of West Asheville is a perfect place to land while you explore the best of the city and the mountains. Please note: Our home is accessed via two sets of stairs (one without a railing), so it’s not ideal for those with mobility challenges. The bedroom has a plush queen memory foam mattress for restful nights and the living room has a full-size pull-out couch with a comfy foam topper. While the bedroom is compact (no dresser or pack-and-play space), there’s a roomy closet with shelves and hangers. Brew your morning coffee or prep a quiet dinner at home in our well-stocked kitchenette. You'll find tea, coffee, cooking basics, and appliances including a microwave, countertop oven/air fryer, hot plate with two burners, mini fridge with a small freezer, electric kettle, coffee maker, and Nutribullet blender. Note: Asheville city rules don’t allow full ovens or refrigerators in newer short-term rentals, but we’ve set you up with everything you’ll need. The second story porch feels like a little treehouse that’s perfect for morning coffee, golden hour hangs, or just taking a breather above it all. In the summer, the Black Walnut gives great shade and in the winter, you’ll catch mountain views and some truly stunning sunsets. Inside, you’ll have fast Wi-Fi, a smart TV with Hulu, and a basket full of magazines and guides to help you plan your adventures. We’ve decorated with vintage Asheville photos and maps, as well as art by some of our favorite local artists. Our place may be tiny, but it’s full of soul and good energy! You’ll have off-street parking for two cars on a gravel and grass driveway. The space sits above our garage, which we only use for storage. You may hear us grab garden tools between 9 am and 10 pm, but we’ll be quiet and respectful. We love our neighborhood! It’s full of creative landscaping, funky houses, and hidden views of downtown. We’re a 10 minute walk to local favorites like Taco Billy, Hole Doughnuts, Owl Bakery, Pizza Mind, Early Girl Eatery, and Archetype Brewing. Explore the French Broad River Greenway or enjoy people watching at New Belgium Brewing’s riverside Liquid Center. Downtown Asheville and the River Arts District are just a 5 minute drive away. Uber/Lyft rides to most places are quick and affordable, typically around $10. After booking, we’ll share a curated list of our favorite nearby spots!
