Lake Onalaska Cabin surrounded by Wildlife Refuge

Two bedroom cabin on the edge of the Upper Mississippi Wildlife Refuge. Surrounded on one side by beautiful Lake Onalaska with prairie walking trails on the other. You will have access to hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing steps from your door. There are two public boat landings less than a mile away. This cabin has a full kitchen but if you prefer there are several restaurants nearby. Stay and experience all that "God's Country" has to offer. Wi-Fi DVD player *No cleaning fees The space This is a stand-alone cabin on a property with several buildings. The lake is accessed either with a long staircase or by walking down a sloping path behind the cabin. Guest access We have two kayaks and one canoe available. Basic PFDs are available as well. Charcoal grill and picnic table next to the cabin. Other things to note -Lakefront shared with other guests on property. Please note that in recent years this lake has developed significant vegetation, primarily wild rice, especially by mid-to-late summer. See photos. -The lake is accessed either with a long staircase or by walking down a sloping path behind the cabin. -Cabin has private parking, yard and deck. The driveway for this cabin will comfortably park a truck with boat trailer or two vehicles. There is an electrical outlet at the back of the driveway. -There is public foot access trail from USFWS trails to lakefront for lake viewing or kayak/canoe launch. -This cabin does have a small bathroom with a tight corner. -Duck hunters can access prime Mississippi fly way hunting areas very close by.
