Located in the center of Norwich, this modern townhome-style accommodation is a wing attached to our residence. Enjoy your upstairs master suite + office/2nd bedroom, downstairs "café" and all-season sunroom. Relax with a view to the garden and woods beyond. We are 1.5 miles to Hanover/Dartmouth, and 1.0 mile to King Arthur Baking. Our street is part of the Appalachian Trail, and you will be near many Upper Valley attractions. We live onsite and are available to assist you upon request. The space Enter from the exterior breezeway into a spacious foyer and you'll see your private staircase up to your guest suite. But before you head upstairs, on the ground floor you have exclusive access to an all-season sunroom with heated floors, a writing desk, bistro table with three chairs, and a gorgeous view of the backyard and woods. At the base of your stairs is your private "café area". We provide you with freshly ground local coffee daily, a 5.66 Cu. Ft. compact Avallon refrigerator, a personal freezer, as well as a microwave, toaster, and an Oxo drip coffee maker with thermal pot. For the espresso lover we even have a Jura fully automatic espresso machine. There are also some (mostly locally made) treats to enjoy! **Please note that we DO NOT have an actual kitchen nor a sink; we provide two dish bins for you to place dishes/utensils/glasses, and while you are out (or at a mutually convenient time,) we clean and replace all items. We DO provide a dispenser with fresh Vermont Spring Water for your unlimited personal use and for use in coffee makers and electric kettle. ** Once upstairs, you will immediately enter the living/sitting room as part of the landing. Off the living room facing the backyard is the master bedroom with its vaulted ceiling and peaceful view to the woods at the back of the property, and of our two Shetland sheep -- Southdown and Lincoln. The bedroom door may be locked from inside, but not from the outside. There is an additional door that separates the master bedroom from the sitting room that does not have a lock. The master bathroom is in the short hallway connecting the master bedroom to the sitting area. Just opposite the top of the stairs is the 2nd bedroom. Please note that this 2nd (single twin) bedroom does not have a door or any separation from the landing, and this is also where you'll find a desk with ergonomic chair at the bright window. There are light filtering shades in both bedrooms. There is a laundry room at the top of the stairs to your left where you will find extra towels. At this time, we are not offering guests access to the washer and dryer but would consider this on a case-by-case basis depending on length of stay. A few of the storage areas within the space are off limits to guests and these will be marked "Private". Other things to note We have now switched out our feather duvets in favor of feather-free duvets and pillows. If you prefer a down duvet, please let us know. The 2nd bedroom with the single bed and desk is above our kitchen in the old part of the house. Please note that the floor/ceiling separating the two has not yet been soundproofed, although this project is in the planning stage. We do our utmost to be as quiet as possible in our kitchen area. We do have two small dogs. They mostly "live" in the kitchen area. They will most certainly get excited and bark upon your arrival but will calm down quickly.
