Stillwood Retreat - secluded luxury escape

A secluded, bespoke retreat nestled in the treetops just waiting for you to explore - Stillwood is an Architecturally designed adults only studio welcoming you to slow down, escape and unwind. Set on five acres, with two jetty's overlooking private dams and the backdrop of the majestic karri forest - it's the perfect place to disconnect and immerse yourself in nature, whilst soaking in the birdsong. Carefully crafted and considered, your luxurious distinctive escape awaits. The space Hidden away, at the end of a private street (yet only 5 minutes from Denmark town), you'll find a newly renovated 'shed', designed to sit unobtrusively in its rural setting. Humble in its exterior, perched high on the property looking out over the rolling hills. With a focus on drawing the outside - in, a celebration of natural, earthy materials and a moody palette creates a restful and grounding escape. The original 'shed' has undergone a complete transformation, complete with modern day comforts. Perfectly set up for two, the living room boasts soaring 5.5m timber lined ceilings and a captivating mural of the karri forest as the backdrop to the space. Curl up on the oversized linen sofa, wine in hand whilst watching the flicker of the fireplace. If wine's not your thing, there's also marshmallows waiting to be toasted! If you're feeling a bit competitive, you'll find an array of games stored un the chest coffee table or get lost in the pages of one of the many architecture/interior design books. A breakfast bar looks out over the property and is the perfect spot to perch for morning brew, or even for a spot of work (for those who can't escape completely). Our compact, beautiful kitchenette provides all the essentials to make you're stay comfortable. A mini bar fridge, integrated dish drawer, induction cooktop, microwave and a basic pantry are included for your use. Because no morning is complete without a good brew, we offer both compostable pods to be used in the Nespresso machine, as well as freshly ground local coffee for the stove top espresso maker. Hand blended teas are also on offer to help you unwind. A bathing sanctuary beckons you - enjoy a long soak in the two person bath tub whilst enjoying Aesop body products. A rain shower, freestanding pedestal basin, stunning travertine tiles and hand glazed Japanese mosaics create a relaxing and luxurious space. Upstairs via a spiral staircase, you'll find a king size bed draped in luxurious European linen from Bed Tonic and Cultiver linen. Wake up amongst the treetops here and just soak in the views of the rolling hills and forest surrounds. Outside, an antique clawfoot bath awaits and welcomes you to soak under the stars. One of the most captivating aspects of Stillwood are the dams that sit on the property - the perfect spot for morning yoga, an afternoon picnic, or sunset glass of wine! Whilst Stillwood has been designed to encourage you to reconnect with nature, yourself and loved one we also have a smart TV along with WIFI for those who would like to utilise these amenities. Guest access You will have the studio to yourself and private access of the five acre property. Other things to note As per our licence from the Shire of Denmark - we require the full names of all guests staying at the property (will be requested from you to complete booking) Please note there are 2 beautiful dams on the property - for safety reasons there is strictly no swimming or fishing allowed. At times they may be closed for access reasons. Whilst we love kids and furry friends, due to the nature of the property and house, no children or pets allowed. As we are in a rural location, seasonally, we may experience heightened levels of pests and while the property is professionally treated periodically we are unable to control endemic bugs on site (especially if windows/doors are left open). Bug spray is provided for guest use. There is also a variety wildlife that call Stillwood home (varying from birds, kangaroos, wild ducks, snakes etc) please keep your distance and do not feed them. The bedroom is accessible on the mezzanine level, accessed only via a spiral stair case and as such isn't suitable for those with access or mobility issues.
