A ground floor apartment with pool, nestled on the bank of the Dordogne river, a perfect place to relax. Kitchen, lounge/diner, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom. The private apartment opens onto a large, beautiful garden; a tranquil place to read, meditate, practice yoga or watch the wildlife on the river. Outdoor kitchen & BBQ, 8x4m private pool, sunbeds, paddleboards. Access to the 2nd bedroom is through the master bedroom or a door to the garden, but both have independent access to the bathroom. The space Nestled on the banks of the Dordogne river, a beautiful house comprised of two separate, self-contained apartments. You will have the entire ground floor of the house, including access to the grounds overlooking the river itself and an 8x4m salt water swimming pool, tiled patio with kitchen and dining space and sunbeds for catching a tan. And to the front of the property is the large private garden that looks onto the river. When arriving at the property, you are met by a winding driveway, leading you down to the side of the property where you can park. Your host will be waiting to greet you and show you around the property and garden, and will be available to you during your stay should you need any information or assistance. Enhance your stay with optional experiences including guided meditation, mindful cooking, regional wine tasting, and seasonal breakfast or sharing platters made with fresh local ingredients. Each experience is designed to help you relax, reconnect, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life in southwest France. On the opposite side of the river is the local village; you will find a bike, kayak, canoe and paddle board centre where you can hire or book guided sessions. A pop-up restaurant on the opposite bank is a fun place to eat out, and, for a more fine dining experience, there is a wonderful restaurant not 2 minutes walk away where you can eat fabulous locally and seasonally sourced food, oh, and don't forget to enjoy some of the most amazing regional wine at our local wine bar. We are a short drive to St Emillion a world UNESCO site which is a perfect day trip to experience the wine of the region and a lazy lunch in the square surrounded by beautiful architecture dating back to the 8th century. Local villages have markets every day of the week, and there is the option to explore Bordeaux by train in less than 1hr. Walking past the swimming pool you will enter the property into the kitchen area, you will find a welcome pack containing information about the house and the surrounding area, and a welcome hamper with delicious food and wine to help you unwind and settle in. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs. You will then move into the dining area where you can enjoy a meal at anytime of the day, followed by the lounge area, which includes a wood burner and a TV for your enjoyment. You can enjoy access and views of the garden and river from here. This room has beautiful exposed brick work. Moving into the master bedroom, you will be met by an idyllic seating area from which you can enjoy a view of the river and grounds. The bedroom has a king size bed and includes a work-space area. From here you have access to a bathroom and also the second bedroom, where there are two single beds/double and direct access to the garden and views of the river. The bathroom can be accessed from both bedrooms independently. You can walk from the house to the village in a few minutes where there are a couple of restaurants, a shop and a bar on the quayside. Other things to note Kayak hire 100m on opposite side of river bank open May to September. Equestrian centre 8km, supermarket 4km, shop and restaurants walking distance, 2km from Chateau Soulac and Chateau de Sanse. A short walk to Chateau Destinee, 25 mins drive to Saint Emillion, 35 minutes drive to Bergerac town/ airport and vigiers golf course, 1hr to Bordeaux, 35 minutes drive to Bergerac airport, or 1hr 10minutes to Bordeaux airport. 1hr 30 minutes to Sarlat and the arcachon basin.
