Countrywood Cottage and Camping

Cosy cottage in between Nevada City and the Yuba River. Peaceful wooded setting close to swimming, hiking, and biking trails. High ceilings, wood panels, and stained glass adorn the comfortable cottage, private bathroom and kitchenette. Outdoor patio under the tall trees. The cottage sleeps three comfortably. Eight minutes to downtown Nevada City, five minutes to Edwards Crossing on the South Fork Yuba River, 45 minutes to Donner Summit and skiing. The space The Cottage is a cute, 250 sq foot studio, complete with a double bed, propane fireplace, private bathroom, and kitchenette. Light and airy, guests will enjoy the artistic stained glass, custom windows and skylights, and natural wood throughout the cottage. The primary sleeping space is a double bed, also available to guests is a single cot with memory foam mattress, best suited for children, but can also accommodate an adult. Also available is Pack and Play for infants or toddlers. The cottage can comfortably accommodate 2-3 adults, and 1-2 children. Guest access Guests have private access to the entire Cottage as well as the property, 1.6 acres of peaceful woodland outside of Nevada City. Enjoy sitting outside and watching the birds and other wildlife. Other things to note Great News! Countrywood Cottage now has a faster, more reliable internet connection available! We have now rejoined the 21st century with the addition of Starlink satellite internet. Finally our guests will be able to enjoy the peace of the forest and still stay connected to the the world around them! A note regarding power shutoffs: Countrywood Cottage has been frequently affected by the PG & E Public Safety Power Shutoffs. We are still open and available to book during power outages and have a backup battery system and generators available during these times, some amenities may still be unavailable or limited, but the lights are on even during blackouts at Countrywood Cottage. If you think there may be a power shutoff in the area please call us after booking to ensure we know you are coming, as communications tend to be slower.
