Aspen Hollow Cabin-Ski Trail Runs Thru Property!

Aspen Hollow Cabin (a dog friendly, legal, licensed nightly rental with a current Okanogan County health permit as required by law) is a pet friendly, beautiful, old growth Ponderosa pine log cabin located on 2 acres w/ its own private two-horse corral. Guests have access to 40 acres of shared open space w/ easy river & ski trail access & communal outdoor pool/ hot tub. Sleeps 6. The space With a beautiful hand-hewn log interior, this dog-friendly cabin will sleep up to six and is fully outfitted for a weekend or a week. The valley’s groomed cross-country ski trail crosses the property and allows easy access to miles of trails during the winter season. Access to hiking, biking, fly fishing, horseback riding, or artistic pursuits awaits guests seeking activity right out the front door, along with 40+ acres of shared property. Downstairs, the comfortably furnished cabin has one bedroom with a king-size bed, a bathroom with a shower, a living room, a dining room, and a fully equipped kitchen. The spacious upstairs loft has a queen-sized bed, two twin beds, and an outdoor balcony. Additional features include A/C units on both floors, free Wi-Fi, a large deck with a BBQ (seasonally available and not available during hot summer months/burn bans), a propane fireplace, a Smart TV, a Sound Bar, and a Bluetooth DVD Player. There is a 240V EV charger outlet in a weatherproof box by the front door at Aspen Hollow that supports a Level 2 car charger. **Please note...Reservations are for Aspen Hollow Cabin only, and no additional RVs, tents, or campers are allowed on the property as part of their reservations.** Guest access The guest will receive directions/lockbox code 3 days before arrival and have access to the whole cabin. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT YEAR-ROUND TRAVEL INFORMATION--READ BEFORE BOOKING A RESERVATION: 1)It is the responsibility of the guest to have travel plans in place to travel either over the North Cascades via Highway 20 OR to travel over Stevens Pass through Leavenworth OR to travel I-90 over Snoqualmie to Blewett Pass through Wenatchee and then up the Columbia River to the Methow Valley. If one route is closed, it is YOUR responsibility to make alternate travel plans. NO REFUNDS will be given at any time of the year simply because an alternate route must be taken, which adds additional travel time. Highway 20 is closed in the winter, and mountain passes can be closed at any time of the year due to wildfires, rockslides, or other events. Directions over all the routes will be sent to you 3 days before your arrival. Make sure to check the pass reports (and they can change while you are en route) and print out the directions before you leave. 2)Trail Access/Closure Information: If you are coming to hike, bike, or ski on a trail or system of trails which happen to be closed before or during your stay, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. Trail closures can occur at any time due to fire, rockslides, mudflows... and we have no control over them. There are many hiking and biking trails of various kinds in the Methow Valley. If access to the North Cascades National Park is closed via Hwy 20 for any reason, NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN because of this. There are many beautiful hikes in and around our valley that we would be happy to recommend. **Please note...Reservations are for Aspen Hollow Cabin only, and no additional RV’s, tents, and campers are allowed on the property as part of their reservations.** INTERNET POLICY **We strive to provide the best internet service we can get here in the very rural Methow Valley. Internet speeds vary throughout the valley, and outages or tech issues beyond our control can occur; for these reasons, NO REFUNDS are given if the internet is problematic. We also do not guarantee that the internet will meet your work/school needs. Should you have an issue with internet service, please send us a message through Airbnb describing the problem. We will then contact you to troubleshoot. If the issue is not resolved, we will contact the internet provider and/or the homeowner. Our valley is very rural, and getting service personnel to fix things promptly can be a challenge. We rent lodging, not office space. Public internet is available at the Winthrop library with enhanced internet speed (parking lot or inside the library). Alternatively, for a fee, you can go to the Dropzone in downtown Winthrop. IMPORTANT WINTER INFORMATION POLICY : **Should you travel to the Methow during the winter months, it is important to understand that you must be prepared for winter driving(keep chains, shovel...in the car) and all the inconveniences it causes you and the community you are visiting. The weather can be extreme with large snowfalls, unexpected technical issues, frozen pipes, and impassable roads/driveways. If it snows while you are here, you will have to wait for plow service just like every other person in the valley. There are a limited number of plow companies and Methow Reservations nor the owners of the house are in control of the plow company schedules. They have many different contracts and many miles of roads and driveways to plow. If a plow person or a snow shoveler shows up to clear any area around the house, please do not argue with them or turn them away. Move your vehicles if asked. Your cooperation and patience are required, especially after any significant snow accumulation. Should you get stuck, you can call Classic Towing in Twisp, WA **WEATHER CONDITIONS** We cannot be responsible for winter weather conditions. If you will be arriving during the winter, please be sure you have proper equipment for driving in the snow, and carry tire chains for driving over the passes. Our local roads are always kept open and in good condition for winter travel. There are no refunds for road closures; however, if both the Stevens and Snoqualmie mountain passes are closed for more than 8 hours and the closures prevent you from reaching the property, you may reschedule your stay to arrive within 3 months of the pass closures. Please note that the North Cascades Pass is always closed during winter. We recommend you check weather conditions before driving through the passes during the winter at the DOT’s website. **Propane Fireplace--The propane stove is a supplemental heating source,e not the main one. If there are any tech issues with the propane fireplace during your stay, please send a message through Airbnb. Methow Reservations and the owner will try to troubleshoot and remedy the problem. If the problem requires a part or there is an issue with the propane company that may take longer than your stay, NO REFUNDS will be given. The guest will use the main electric heating source whenever the propane stove is out of operation.
