Description

Welcome to our secluded, hillside oasis! Situated outside of town in a peaceful neighborhood, the Aerie Loft offers a hotel-style studio engulfed in absolutely stunning panoramic views. It is located on a south-facing slope above the charming Moab Valley, 3 miles south of town. We're up on a hillside, so sunrises and sunsets are amazing! The 'Aerie Loft' offers a covered carport which it is situated above for relaxing outdoors, tinkering with gear, and an outdoor garden area for BBQing. The space The Aerie Loft is cozy and authentic, eclectically decorated, and filled with natural light. In your 400 sq foot loft you can enjoy the organic tempur-pedic style queen mattress and mid century modern bed frame, desk + breakfast nook overlooking the Moab valley rim, stylish vintage couch for lounging, an open style closet and shelf for unpacking and a roll away floor mattress for an extra guest (just let us know beforehand and we will provide all the fixings). The bathroom features natural light, brand new fixtures, and a stand up shower. Our favorite features are the morning sunrises over the La Sal mountains, the deeply comfortable queen bed adorned with feather down comforters and pillows, the immense natural lighting, and the eclectic arrangement of plants + vintage/locally-crafted decor. Did we mention that the views are breathtaking? :) You'll access the loft via your own entrance. The Aerie Loft is located up a flight of covered stairs, so please keep this in mind when considering booking. The landing of this staircase is the entrance to our other room, The Nest. Please be respectful of this small shared space and refrain from peaking though the glass doors. Throughout your space you will encounter what we like to call a 'living gallery.' From the artwork, coffee mugs and locally roasted coffee, to the soaps in your bathroom-- everything as is possible is hand-crafted by local artisans. If there is artwork that you would like to take home, you are welcome to purchase it at anytime! Amongst the breathing sprawl of happy house plants is a window to the true Moab community. We strongly believe in spreading conscious tourism, creating a healthy vibrant experience for local artists and travelers alike. Holding the space for inspiration and exchange between the two is our way of cultivating a symbiotic relationship and a healthy local economy. We just look to our unique landscape for inspiration, and invite you to do the same. Your space is fully private, though it is attached to our home (we share the north facing wall that has no access between the sides). Included is a streamlined and simple kitchen corner great for preparing a simple breakfast and fresh brewing our locally roasted coffee and/or local tea (which we provide for free to our guests) before adventuring. It features custom hand-planed historical Moab timber countertops we joyfully found and crafted ourselves, small microwave, electric water boiler, toaster, minifridge with small freezer, small drip coffee maker, French press, and basic utensils and kitchenware. PLEASE note that there is no television in our 'Aerie Loft', and in its place we have a full hook up music player (radio, records, cd, aux, blue tooth and USB), local books, playing cards and games. Breakfast fixings include organic cereal, milk, cream, fruit, locally roasted coffee, and tea selection. You must access the loft via a covered stairway. Because we live in a quiet, peaceful residential neighborhood, no ATV/OHVs allowed. Guest access Guests have access to a spacious parking area, minimal kitchen (water-boiler, coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge), a full bathroom, comfortable sleeping for up to 3 (please let us know if a floor mattress+fixings is needed), high-speed internet, stunning panoramic views of the red rock cliffs and La Sal Mountains, delicious and pure well water from the sink, and a great frisbee golf course just down the street next to a sleepy oasis of Old City Park. Other things to note We are a pet friendly establishment! Our charge is $50 for a pet say. Welcome children! If you have small children, just let us know and we will move delicate plants and artwork to spaces out of reach. Your kitchen will come stocked with breakfast fixings for your stay- please communicate with us about any dietary restrictions (gluten/dairy/nut/soy/ect) and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. As our space also operates as a local 'living gallery' we ask our guests to acknowledge our trust and community's trust in having fine handmade art and products nestled into every part the Nest experience, and we ask for our guests to return this trust with a sense of responsibility and respect of the space and all the energy that has gone into it.
