Rental unit in Essex

A converted barn attached to my house, this newly remodeled space is beautiful and inviting. Everything is new and high-end, yet it retains it's barn-y charm. For a couple who are looking to get away in the Adirondacks, this is a unique and appealing option. The house is 3.5 miles from the town of Essex, NY in the Champlain Valley. Gorgeous view of the Green Mountains to the east and farm land all around. The location is convenient to many attractions! The space The barn is attached to a 200-year-old stone home, also on Airbnb, on over 100 acres of protected Adirondack park land. Hiking trails are all around, the ferry to VT is just downtown and beauty is everywhere. We have 4 Norwegian Fjord horses (one baby!) in the big barn across the street with 2 goats, and 5 (currently) Guinea Fowl. The new solar array is operational in October 2024. The house and the barn are separate dwellings and I rent both. I love to help people find hidden gems and activities in the area including hiking opportunities, breweries, restaurants and shopping. Guest access Guests are welcome to roam the property (there are over 100 acres!), visit the goats and horses if they are around. The two dwellings are completely separate so there are no shared spaces indoors. Other things to note There are great views of Vermont's Green Mountains to the east to enjoy from the ADK chairs on the patio. I now have 4 amazing Norwegian Fjord Horses out in the giant dairy barn across the street who love visits from guests! See the house manual for tips on restaurants and shopping, cool stuff to do. We are happy to welcome one visiting dog during your stay. A $150 pet fee per stay applies. Please let us know if you’re bringing a dog when you book. While we are pet-friendly, we ask that pets are well-behaved and not left unattended for long periods.
