Stylish, dog-friendly cabin in beautiful meadow
Description
A magical setting between Bath and Wells, with the Mendip Hills and the Levels to explore. Brand new for spring 2022, TinTab is a stylish cabin for two, sitting in its own private two acre meadow with a chill-out barn attached. We are 12 minutes from the cathedral city of Wells, 35 minutes from Bath and 45 minutes from Bristol. The Levels and their wildlife reserves are just a 20 minute drive. Perfect writer's retreat. Enquire for weekly/monthly discounts. Dogs welcome! The space The cabin has a separate bedroom with a supremely comfortable king size bed, duck feather duvet, plump pillows and super-efficient blackout blinds and curtains. All bed linen is 100% cotton. The bathroom is well equipped, with a radiator, toilet and a large shower. We supply Faith in Nature toiletries for our guests and nice big soft towels, as well as TOAST hammam towels for that extra touch of luxury. In the living area you’ll find a wood burning stove (logs from our own trees supplied free of charge) plenty of books and games and a dining table overlooking the field. There’s a sofa bed for one extra guest (daily charge applies.) The table by the window is an ideal workspace; for longer stays we can even provide a Herman Miller Aeron chair. The kitchen area is brand new, fitted with a two-ring ceramic hob, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, toaster and everything you need to cook simple meals. The little barn is a space to laze away an afternoon. It’s a store for your garden furniture but also an outdoor living area, with vintage cane sofa and chairs and even a 70s hanging chair (complete with sheepskins, of course!) Solar powered fairy lights come on at night. There’s a fire pit surrounded by log stumps, and a BBQ for your use. All fire pit wood is supplied, and one bag of BBQ coals to get you going. The field is part re-wilded and the cabin overlooks a wild pond. This is a nesting place/drinking hole/hunting ground for local wildlife like ducks, herons, buzzards, owls, swifts and bats. In summer it's buzzing with huge dragonflies. We have mown paths around the pond and through the long grass, as well as a large recreational area around the cabin itself. Guest access The cabin, barn and the whole two acres is yours for your stay. There is an access track from the main farm gate behind the cabin which leads down to our own house. Other things to note The meadow is fully fenced and hedged to keep dogs in and away from the livestock in neighbouring fields. We provide Faith in Nature dog shampoo, a special towel and a spare water/food bowl for your doggo. We have a very friendly lurcher-poodle cross called Viggo (aka Mr Floof) who we keep down our end of things. Please note the wild pond, although only three feet deep, is unfenced so please take care with small children.
