Nestled in the Otway Ranges, our 2 storey cedar loft cottage has ample space for you to relax & unwind in the beautiful surrounds. Set on 3 acres of rolling lawns & native trees, there’s plenty of room to roam and spot the many native birds & wildlife that visit the property. With the Old Beechy Rail Trail right on our doorstep, bring your bikes to really immerse yourself in the fresh forest air. Take a 30 min trip to the Redwood Forest and nearby waterfalls, with the Forrest only 15mins away. The space Our cedar loft cottage features cathedral ceilings, beautiful exposed timbers and an open-plan living area. The lounge has a wood heater, as well as split system heating/air conditioning to keep you comfortable all year round. A second living area will keep you entertained with books, games and a table tennis table. The light-filled main bedroom is on the ground floor and features a queen bed, barn door and a walk-in robe. The 2nd bedroom has a queen bed and captures plenty of afternoon light. It features reverse cycle heating and cooling. The 3rd bedroom is light and bright, with a double bed on the mezzanine, so you can look down on the living area below and gives it an open, spacious feel. Both upstairs bedrooms have open wardrobes for hanging space. Our pine-lined bathroom features a large vanity, plenty of towel rails and a step-in shower with a rainwater shower-head. The room offers a lovely view of the bush surrounds. If you need to work during your visit, the cottage now features super-fast and unlimited Starlink satellite internet. There is ample desk-space, power points and a comfy work chair. Outside, The Loft Cottage features a return verandah, with covered back deck and outdoor seating for eating out and enjoying the birdsong. We have a fire pit area with seating, where you can enjoy sitting out under the stars in the cooler months. There is a covered carport to keep your car housed out of the weather, as well as ample undercover areas to keep your bikes. Guest access You will have access to all parts of the house, although some cupboards will be locked. The 3 acres are yours to roam, though some sheds will be locked. We have an old shack on the property that is being renovated so for your safety, we ask you to keep clear of this. Other things to note PET RULES. We offer pet-friendly accomodation, but do have some simple rules for you to abide by during your stay. If bringing your pet with you, please let us know and add them to your booking beforehand. We have a small pet fee to cover that helps cover any unexpected damage. We ask respectfully that pets stay off all furniture & bedding AT ALL TIMES. Pets are allowed throughout the downstairs living areas, however are NOT permitted upstairs, or in the main bedroom downstairs. For your pet’s stay, we provide pet towels and wipes so please clean muddy paws before coming inside. We supply dog waste bags and a pooper scooper, so please pick up and bag all dog waste before placing in the RED council bin. We provide food & water bowls, and a pet mat inside by the fire. You are welcome to bring extra floor coverings if needed. If your pet has an accident, you'll find a bucket with cleaning supplies provided in the laundry. There is also a vacuum cleaner for cleaning up excess hair, especially handy for large shedding dogs. If there is evidence these house rules haven’t been followed, we may have to request payment for extra cleaning services required or replacement of soiled furnishings. We ask you to please be respectful of our property and our house rules. Unfortunately a number of previous guests have taken great liberty with them, leading to destroyed furnishings and linen, which is very disheartening as pet-loving host. We want to keep being able to offer pet-friendly accomodation, and can only do so if our guests are respectful our place and our pet rules. Thanks kindly for your understanding, X Kellie and Rob.
