Beautiful House on Lake Erie

- Fully Furnished - 2 bedroom 3 beds, 1 bath house - Wood burning fireplace - Internet and cable TV - East and west decks & hot tub overlooking lake - Kitchen fully equipped - Laundry on first floor - There is a private beach behind the house but access is limited depending on the weather and lake levels ovrflow beach. I keep the path clean and weed free but this is a high erosion area. Some climbing is involved. Built in 1921, the house holds historical significance and exudes timeless character. Access & Safety Protocols To ensure a smooth arrival, guests typically meet with our housekeeper for access and orientation. However, during COVID precautions, in-person meetings are suspended for your safety. Instead, we’re happy to assist via phone, FaceTime, or other media. This is intentional—our home has unique features that require a bit of explanation to ensure you enjoy your stay to the fullest. A Home with a Story The front of the house faces the lake, and in years past, a promenade once connected it to the neighboring country club. Today, the views remain just as breathtaking. Dining & Outdoor Living: The dining area includes an outdoor table, which is used during summer months. Due to limited storage, we’ve chosen practicality over formality—you’ll find this setup both functional and enjoyable. Relaxation Spaces: Unwind in the hot tub on the west deck, perfectly positioned to take in lake views. The enclosed glass porch offers panoramic vistas and is a favorite spot year-round. Cozy Comforts: A wood-burning fireplace adds warmth and charm during the colder months. In winter, enjoy cross-country skiing at the nearby country club or sledding across the street in the metro park, which also features scenic walking trails. Our Commitment to Your Stay My house manager and I are dedicated to making your visit as comfortable and memorable as possible. We strive to anticipate your needs and provide thoughtful touches throughout the home. Helpful Tips & House Information To make things easier, you’ll find small index cards placed around the house with instructions on how to operate various features. These are there for your convenience—after trying books and centralized guides, we’ve found this method works best. We look forward to welcoming you and hope you enjoy every moment of your stay. Guest access 🏡 Welcome to Your Retreat The house and yard are yours to enjoy during your stay. You'll find a spacious open yard as well as a private, fenced-in courtyard—perfect for dogs, relaxing, gathering, or simply soaking in the surroundings. 🌊 About Beach Access While the beach can be a wonderful feature when conditions allow, please note that access requires some effort and involves light climbing. During the summer months, the weather is generally favorable, making beach visits more feasible. However, access is not guaranteed, as it depends on fluctuating lake levels and weather conditions—factors beyond my control. Other things to note It is very important that if you have problems (can't find lights, there is something not to your liking, etc.), you can contact the housekeeper or myself immediately upon arrival. The bathroom has calcium buildup from hard water and a few stains. I do not like water softeners so we do are best to keep things at bay. Bathroom is thoroughly cleaned and bleached before each arrival. There are no refunds after your stay!!! Please don't wait till after you leave. I can't help you once you are gone. There are security cameras installed above the courtyard, the southeast porch, and the western deck. They are only able to be accessed by myself and I do so only in case of emergency, home invasion or home problem. All cameras face outward, and there is no surveillance indoors of any kind.
