Peaceful accommodation by the sea

With the sea in view, the guest house, built in 2021, is located on a part of our property. There are sleeping accommodations for four people, two in a double bedroom and two in the loft in single beds. The guest house has a wind-protected patio. Here, all seasons have their charm. May-September there is a bathing ladder from the rocks 200 m away. It is a little over a km to the municipal swimming area with docks. There are good opportunities for walks/hikes and excursions on Tjörn. Härön protects against the winds from the open sea in the west. The space In the guest house, which is 30 m2, there is a well-equipped kitchen with dining area for 4-5 people. In the bedroom, there is a double bed (160 cm), wardrobes and TV. In the bathroom, toilet, shower and washing machine. In the loft (about 10 m2) there are two single beds (90 cm). In the loft, there is room for an inflatable mattress for another person, but then it will be crowded. To the loft there is a gate that can be opened and closed from the stairs or from the loft. It is about one km to the ferry (Västtrafik) that goes to Härön. There are several hiking trails and a nice swimming area. In summer, the restaurant Magasinet on Härön is open. Pilane Sculpture Park is a longer walk away (about 3 km). The sculpture park area is open (free) for walking during the winter season. By car (or bicycle) you can get to Björholmens Marina with a restaurant open on weekends during the winter half-year, during the summer open every day. There is also a café and ice cream shop. On the way to Björholmen is Kolleröds Skafferi & Trädgård, which has a café every other Saturday 8-12 during the summer months, when they also sell freshly baked bread and home-grown vegetables. A 10-minute walk from the guest house is "Glass i Limhall." In addition to ice cream during the summer, homemade jam and marmalade are sold throughout the year, as well as Italian delicacies such as parmesan, salami and olive oil. Open most days throughout the year. In the guesthouse, there are maps and brochures. We are also happy to advise you on what the surroundings and Tjörn have to offer. By car, it takes about 1 hour to get here from Gothenburg, Uddevalla and Trollhättan. By bus from Gothenburg about 1.5 – 2 hours (bus stop 1 km walk from the house). Food store, gas station, pizzeria, pharmacy, etc. are located in Kållekärr 11 km away. Hoga Saluhall with locally produced goods is 9 km from Limhall. Larger service offerings are available in Skärhamn 14 km, with a good fish shop (Klädesholmens Fisk & Skaldjur) and Systembolaget next to ICA as well as the famous Nordic Watercolor Museum. Guest access Sheets and towels are included. In the bathroom, there is hand soap, shower soap, shampoo, laundry detergent for the washing machine and hair dryer. Since the house is newly built, all the machines in the kitchen are new. There is a regular fridge/freezer, stove with oven, dishwasher and household appliances such as microwave, coffee maker, toaster. Smaller basic supply of food, such as flour, sugar, salt, olive oil, tea bags and some coffee. If you are missing something the first night or morning, we can hopefully help with that. Directly from the kitchen, you come out to the guest house's patio. There is garden furniture and a wind-protected corner with seating. Kettle grill is available, but guests can buy charcoal themselves. On the property, there is room for one car. Electric cars can be charged at cost. For a low fee, there are: - Sauna with room for two and with good will four people, - Two kayaks. -Three bicycles (older model). Other things to note On Tjörn, there are plenty of ticks. Pay attention to yourself and each other for ticks or skin rashes that may occur after a tick bite. Our own house is next door to the guest house. But the houses are located so that both houses are relatively private. With normal consideration, we are confident that we do not disturb each other. We don't allow you to bring your own pets. Perhaps this can make it easier for allergy-sensitive guests, but we cannot take responsibility for the accommodation being allergy-free. Building a new house is resource-intensive. In general, the guest house is built according to standard methods when it comes to materials. The choices where we had the knowledge to choose means that the outer and inner panel are FSC-labeled. On the floors is linoleum that is climate-neutral. The house is heated by underfloor heating and an air heating fan. The roof is covered with 16 solar panels. Some of the furniture and especially household goods are secondhand. All laundry and cleaning products are eco-labeled. Bed linens and towels have eco and fair trade labels.
