Cedar Acres Farm is close to Perry Lake, a great place for boating and fishing! It is close to Lawrence, KS, home of the KU Jayhawks! It is also close to our state capital, Topeka. You will love spending time here if you enjoy getting away from the city. You can watch the sun rise, watch the sun set and enjoy the feel of being in the country. Gramma's Lodge is the full finished basement of my home. It has it's own entrance through the garage. There is a kitchenette, family room, full bath, 3 private bedrooms, and a shared sleeping area. There is a queen size sofa bed in the family room. The kitchenette has a counter top fridge, microwave, electric skillet, toaster oven, waffle iron, slow cooker, toaster and a Foreman grill as well as all the basic kitchen needs. It will be stocked with breakfast options. Guest have the entire downstairs for their use. The entrance is accessed through the garage by way of the side door. There is a full size fridge in the garage that may be shared by host and guest. There is a patio area available and also a fire pit in the back yard. I prefer to be home to greet my guest when they arrive and show them around Gramma's Lodge. If that is not possible, I will give self check-in instructions. I like to share information with guest by text messages before their arrival. I am available to my guest throughout their stay. If I am not home, I can be reached by phone. Cedar Acres Farm is located on a blacktop county road so you have no gravel roads to travel. The driveway is 1/4 mile long. The house can't be seen from the main road. I am surrounded by other farms. Folks in the area are friendly and are good neighbors. If you like the small town atmosphere, there are several close by, 10 to 20 minutes, with "Mom and Pop" type places to eat. The Legends in Kansas City, KS is about 45 minutes away. If you are a NASCAR fan, the track is also about a 45 minute drive. If you are going to be visiting KU, it is a 35 to 45 minute drive depending on what part of KU you would be going to visit. I do have pets. I have dogs outside and dogs inside. I have outdoor cats. I also have what I call my pasture ornaments, horses! Cedar Acres Farm/Gramma's Lodge is a work in progress. Much has been done but there is still much to do.
