Cabin in the Desert
Cabin in the Desert
Description
Step back in time in this unique and secluded getaway. Our cabin is located just outside of town in an unincorporated area of Desert Hot Springs, also known as Sky Valley. Enjoy breathtaking sunsets, peace and serenity. Escape from noise of the city without giving up comfort. Perfect for writers, photographers, and those trying to experience the stillness of the desert nights. Good place to stargaze. It is a rustic glamping experience. The space Rustic cabin in the middle of the desert. For those who enjoy camping and the outdoors. Dark desert nights can be very cold, windy and loud. We have restored the cabin to make it comfortable for our guests without compromising its uniqueness and history. The cabin is located in a remote area, you will have to drive through a patch a bumpy dirt road, the floors are slanted, windows rattle with wind, and due to the uneven floors sometimes a trickle of water can run down the floor from shower. You can't leave the door open at all because it's in the middle of nowhere and bugs are attracted to the light. As long as you understand this and can appreciate the experience then It's the perfect place to unwind, be one with nature, and enjoy tranquil desert nights. Don't get me wrong, we make sure the home is comfortable and very clean; with a large king bed, high quality linen, mini split air conditioning and heating, full functioning kitchen, hot water, and of course satellite internet. We love our cabin and want our guests to enjoy it too. There are some neighboring homes, It’s pitch black so arrive early. --Pet Policy-- We allow up to 1 dog in unit. Upon departure, clean up dog hair to the best of your ability. The cost of additional cleaning or laundering services due to excessive dog hair will be billed to the guest. Promptly bag and dispose of all dog waste from the yard during your stay and at time of departure. We request all dogs be up to date on vaccinations as required by state law. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds. Bring your dog’s favorite blanket or bed. Bring a pet crate and use whenever you must leave your dog unattended for a period of time. Never leave your dog unattended if it barks or chews when left alone. Other things to note It is very dark at night so we definitely recommend arriving before sunset to find the cabin. This is the desert, you will encounter a critter or two during your stay and flying insects drawn to lights during nighttime . Keep doors closed and lights off when not in use. Be careful when walking outside specially as it warms up. Don’t forget to bring drinking water and mosquito repellent. We have satellite internet and although not as blazing fast as what we are used to it works great to stream a movie, browse the web, check emails.
