OR a gift for someone you love! Although not built into the trees, many of our guests refer to it as a treehouse experience for the ambience of nature but with all luxuries of modern life. So many lifelong memories have been made here - 25 couples engaged! two weddings, many honeymoons, anniversaries, elopements, babymoons, surprise birthdays and special getaways. And our guests love the complimentary homemade chai we offer(if we are home)! The space is part of, and yet private from, a split level home and has its own private entry and access. The apartment is completely private with its own full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room, an outdoor patio with a daybed and with no shared spaces. The deck above which houses the gazebo is at the level of the main house but anyway can ask for a private evening for a special occasion. And yes, the fully equipped kitchen allows our guests the joy of cooking a meal together! And if you're are thinking of proposing to your special someone, or want a super special romantic getaway, we have you fully covered - roses, candles et al! We feel so honored when special memories happen and have helped setup everything for a stunning surprise each time. Great to celebrate special occasions like a wedding anniversary, a birthday, a babymoon or any getaway to refresh or relax. A Christmas gift or wedding gift, or a special surprise for your friends! The space has one bedroom with a queen sized bed, a full kitchen, a bathroom with a stand up shower, a living area with sofa and chairs, a dining area with seating for 4 and a 70 in TV to stream Netflix. The bedroom has a queen bed, the sofa can sleep one and an extra queen floor mattress is available for additional guests. If you enjoy cooking, it has a full kitchen with stove, refrigerator, pots and pans and a microwave. 4 guests can stay fairly comfortably with the queen bed and a queen air mattress. 5 could be a push but possible with the couch. We also have a playpen for babies. The ceiling height of around 7 ft provides a warm cozy atmosphere. Guests have an exclusive patio with a daybed and an outdoor chair, plus access to the upper common deck that houses a screened-in gazebo with a large dining table for 8, and overlooking a creek. Next to it is a deck with outdoor sofas to rest and relax with a firepit. Guests can also use the common grill. Also, the artwork in the Airbnb is all done by us or our kids and we hope you enjoy them while here! Step out of the apartment to enjoy an uninterrupted forest view with a creek and an immersive experience - what it feels like to live in the woods or in a Treehouse! Guests may be able to also enjoy the visible wildlife - from multiple species of birds if you leave your bedroom window open in the morning, or watch a slow tortoise complete the entire trail of the creek. And in winter, possible deer. Read a book on our beautiful patio, enjoy a meal in our screened in gazebo or a coffee on the bistro table! A great place for a quiet and amazing getaway! Please know that we can often do an earlier checkin at 2 pm for an additional $15. As parents with kids that love to travel, our cleaning protocol is designed for a stress-free experience for our guests. And we want you to book with that confidence. The Airbnb is reserved only for booked guests. If you have visitors to meet, we ask meeting them at another location. If you are working from home and taking a getaway to continue working while relaxing, we have recently installed a mesh wifi system so you can work both indoors and outdoors in the apartment or the patio and gazebo and our guests report "reliably getting around 30mbps". The Airbnb is also therefore, reliably set up to work from home! Who are you bringing with, or gifting, to Wisconsin Treehouse Getaway?? The apartment has its own private entrance from the deck. It is private, meant only for the guest and has its own patio. Only the outdoor upper level deck and gazebo are shared spaces with the homeowner. However, you can request a private evening to use those areas just for yourself for an outdoor evening or a romantic meal in the gazebo! Also, the apartment has its own private entrance and you can self check-in with the lockbox just outside the entry door....And late arrivals are totally fine! We are available to help and are just a knock on the main house, or a text away. And if we are not home, a co-host could be available just a quick phone call away. Its a quiet leafy neighborhood. The house is at the end of the sub-division, in a cul-de-sac so its also quite private. We have a driveway and garage. We only use our garage and at the most, the right side of our driveway. There is always parking on the left driveway, for the guest. The forest and the creek feel like youre living in your own private cabin in the woods while enjoying all the comforts you need. We absolutely LOVE our home and believe it's the best kept secret in Racine! No smoking in the Airbnb although you can smoke outside on the patio. Absolutely NO weed or pot on the premises. We have a grill, a patio heater for the gazebo as well as a deck firepit. There is an additional cost of $15 per feature, only if you use them, in order to replace with a propane tank. This is a unique year with covid. And we are homeschooling our kids. There is potential of hearing them/us upstairs but we get them to bed around 9 pm so everything should be completely quiet after that. Must be 21 to book.
