Vacation home between Rennsteig and Schwarzatal

We rent a vacation apartment between Rennsteig and Schwarzatal in the Thuringian Forest. Our apartment is located on a side street in the immediate vicinity of the forest. With us you have absolute peace and no through traffic. From the car parking space on the property and from the garden you can reach the separate entrance on one level. Leisure activities in the village include the adventure pool with giant slide, beach volleyball court, mini golf course, a modern 4-lane bowling alley, and a tennis court. You can hike to the Leibis dam (second highest dam in Germany), 2 km away, or take a ride on the Lichten Valley Railway. Well-marked hiking trails lead you to many excursion destinations such as the Oberweißbach mountain railway, the Fröbelturm, the Barigauer Turm, Schloß Schwarzburg, the Trippstein, Greifenstein Castle and the Haflingergetüt in Meura. Well-known hiking trails are the Schwarzatal panoramic trail, the Fröbel trail and the Olitäten trail. The Schwarzatal cycling trail and the Ilmradweg invite you to go cycling. Other excursion destinations include the glassblower town of Lauscha, the fairy grottoes in Saalfeld, the flower town of Erfurt and Oberhof, which is known for winter sports.
