Located in Louisville in the village of Norton Commons minutes from downtown and Churchill Downs. This spacious guest suite in the lower level of our home includes a kitchenette, game/dining table, TV/gathering room, two bedrooms with queen beds, and one private full bath. Entrance is through a shared entryway into our home. This listing is perfectly situated in a planned village community where guests are a short stroll to shops, dining and parks. The space is in the lower level of our home. Our guest suite includes a living room, kitchenette, two queen bedrooms: a larger one with iron sleigh bed, desk, chairs and dresser; a smaller one with four poster bed and large dresser. There is one private full bath. The kitchenette has a sink, microwave, minifridge, dining/game table, Keurig, and basic kitchen utensils. It is not suitable for complete meal preparation. There is a dry sauna, exercise equipment, books, games. Or just relax and enjoy music or TV on the sofa or recliners. Pricing varies weeknight versus weekend. Guests have an access code to the shared front door to the home and owners are on site on the main level. There is a wrap around porch with rockers for guests to relax and enjoy the view. The owners are on site to assist with directions, plans, and information. Norton Commons is a unique planned community like Seaside. There are shops, hairdressers, a pharmacy, sidewalks and streetlights. There is a coffee shop, art studio, and a variety of dining venues, as well as bourbon, beer and wine bars. And green spaces, and parks. Everything within a short stroll from our front door. It is central to Louisville and Churchill Downs, the Bourbon Trail and horse country (racing in season). A car is advisable to get to downtown Louisville, Churchill Downs, and other attractions like the Bourbon Trail. There are buses, taxi's including Lyft and Uber, and limos. There is safe parking. The nearest airport is Standiford Field (SDF). The location is close to a shopping mall, and access to the interstate. It is a 15 minute drive to downtown Louisville. It is 18 miles to Churchill Downs, and 15 miles to the Fairgrounds for Park and Tarc rides to the Kentucky Derby.
