Enjoy amazing western views across the Saratoga Passage from our gorgeous, custom built two bedroom cabin. Camano Island is an easy drive from Seattle or Vancouver, but feels remote. Our modern cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway, but large enough for 4 guests. The cabin sits high above a stunning, sandy beach - just a short walk or drive away. Quiet and private, with unobstructed views, the cabin is a true retreat! We are excited to share our cabin with like-minded folks who want to enjoy a beautiful and quiet retreat, gorgeous sunsets from the covered porch, or a walk along the nearby deserted beach. This is the perfect place to unplug and unwind! The cabin sits on a large waterfront high bank lot - private and quiet. Modern sensibilities match rustic flair in our well appointed space outfitted with quality linens, thoughtful additions, and stocked with everything you'll need for a wonderful get away. Lofty and filled with light, the cabin features custom touches throughout: fir floors, planked counters, a full kitchen, and custom tiled bathroom with an oversized shower. Cook a meal in our thoughtfully designed kitchen, cozy up in front of the gas stove, or build a fire in the fire pit outside and enjoy the view. Our cabin is clean and furnished beautifully- a true retreat! PLEASE NOTE: the cabin is a shoe-free property. We kindly ask guests to bring slippers or indoor shoes. Each bedroom features a comfortable queen bed with quality bedding and comforters. The cabin is also stocked with fresh white towels, basic bath products, and beach gear - beach umbrellas and beach blankets. (Please bring your own beach towels.) There is NO tv or wifi at the cabin, although there is good cell service. If you are looking for a smaller space we have a rustic cabin in the woods that is nearby. Please check it out if a secluded cabin with a sleeping loft better suits your needs. Guests may access the beach via a private community road - the house sits a high bluff above the water and the beach access is a short walk or drive away. The community of Summerland is quiet and peaceful - this is a great getaway for those who share those values. More often then not, you'll have this amazing beach to yourselves. The beach is accessed a private community owned road and includes limited parking and a picnic area. Like all of Puget Sound, the tides come in and out twice a day. At low tide the beach extends far out, at high tide it can be inaccessible depending on the time of year. Please consult the tide chart, maps and important information provided when you check into the cabin. Camano Island is home to two wonderful Washington State Parks: Cama Beach and Camano Island. Both are only a short drive from the cabin and have great hiking, beaches, The Center for Wooden Boats, a cafe, and more. You can also find zip line tours, farm to table dining, art galleries, antiques stores, as well as great restaurant choices all on Camano Island! Self-check in and out are preferred, although I am happy to answer any questions about the cabin and surrounding area. You'll find a binder with important information including a tide chart, and restaurant recommendations inside the cabin. I am available via text or phone call 24/7. The cabin is perched on a high bluff above the Saratoga Passage facing west to Whidbey Island and the Olympic Range. The beach access lies below and is accessible via a short walk or drive along a community owned road. It's a very low-key, quiet community and we are almost always the only people along the long, driftwood strewn beach. We often see eagles, otters, seals, herons, whales, and deer. Pack a picnic, head on down and enjoy the beauty of Puget Sound! Please note: this is not an appropriate rental for parties, loud music, late night outdoor noise (quiet hours after 9pm, please), or pets. It is vitally important that cabin guests respect the wishes of our neighbors and community members, especially in regards to the beach. The town of Stanwood, 25 minutes away, has several grocery stores, and many restaurant choices. Once you drive on to Camano Island you'll find a handful of very good restaurant choices, a grocery store, several pubs, two state parks, zip line tours and more. The guide book at the cabin has all the details and I am happy to answer any questions you might have. There is NO wifi at the cabin, however there is good cell reception. The high bluff could pose a danger to children or inattentive guests. Please take great caution if approaching the bluff edge. Due to the sensitive environmental nature of a shorefront property we have chosen to keep the large yard natural and not manicured. We don’t spray outside for bugs or weeds. We often let the wildflowers grow up to support the local bees. The cabin is a shoe-free home. Please help us keep it clean and looking good by removing your shoes inside. We regret to inform you that no pets are allowed. Due to the nature of this being a shared space, and the potential danger to those with severe allergies, this includes non-pet service animals. If you would like us to assist you in finding accommodation for your party that includes a service animal, we would be happy to.
