Alley knob is a slice of perfection nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains. It is secluded, but close enough to drive into town for shopping or dining. Lansing NC, is nearby, where you can enjoy the Creeper Trail Park, fly-fishing, Molley Chomper Hard Cider, or grab some Pie at the local pizzeria. West Jefferson is approx 20 miles from the cabin. Experience the talent of locally made pottery and art in a genuine, quaint mountain town. Best of all, sit on the porch listen to the birds and meditate. The space Our cabin is rustic comfortable and offers breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Enjoy all the comforts of home in our quiet, serene cabin in the woods. The cabin offers a well stocked kitchen, plenty of fresh linens, simple toiletries, and lots of cozy blankets for cool nights. For entertainment we have games & cards to play with the kids/family, and as a last resort there’s always the TV/DVD which offers ROKU & movies. The cabin offers screaming fast internet service for those interested in a working vacation. Outdoors is a playground in which to roam on endless adventures, build a fire in the fire pit or sit on the porch and watch for wildlife activity. Located a few minutes drive from the cabin is the start of the Virginia Creeper Bike trail that will lead you 25 miles down the mountain to the town of Damascus VA. Also, minutes away, is Mount Rogers State Park that provides miles and miles of hiking and has lots of wild ponies roaming on the grounds. Guest access Most everything you need is here, to include a grill and fire pit, AND high speed internet service (45/45 MBPS BROADBAND) which is smoking fast, and runs like a top! We also like to keep the cabin stocked with simple supplies such as soaps, washing detergents, coffee/filters and a few spices.... Other things to note The driveway is a typical mountain driveway that is suitable for front wheel or 4 wheel drive and may be muddy at times of heavy rain. It is a half mile from the gate to the cabin...making a gradual climb upwards and winding at first to the left, then to the right, and then uphill. The gate remains locked unless the cabin is occupied. The guest will receive a gate key upon checking in.
