M. James' Two Lakes, a family friendly retreat.

Welcome to "M James' Two Lakes". We sit in between Bar Lake and Lake Michigan, connected to the start of M-22, voted "America's Number One Best Scenic Autumn Drive for 2015 by 10 Best and USA TODAY". We are ideally situated whether you are in the area to golf, bike, hunt, fish, boat, ski, hike, explore or simply to relax on the many beautiful beaches. Walk the downtown Manistee Riverwalk and experience the many local restaurants, festivals, and shops or enjoy a night out at Little River Casino. The space After a fun day exploring the beautiful Manistee beaches, return home to grill your dinner on the deck and dine in the tree tops. After dinner, stroll down Lakeshore Road to the intimate public beach to be dazzled by one of Western Michigan's famous sunsets. Head back and indulge in cozy family time and S'mores while gathered around the fire pit. After the fire, settle in for a late night movie or show on Netflix (guest access included with rental along with many other viewing and listening options on Amazon Firestick on both TVs). Guest access Please feel free to make use of the gas grill on deck. (All proper grilling utensils provided) Please feel free to use the beach toys found in the hall closet. Feel free to use the fire pit and Adirondack chairs provided. Easy front door access when parking on upper driveway. *Guests are not allowed access to garage or basement. Other things to note Our cleaning crew is coordinated based on the number of guests listed in the reservation. If your actual number of guests exceeds the number of guests booked with us on the reservation, you will be charged an extra fee of $35 per extra guest per night up to a maximum of 8 total guests. Under no circumstance shall there be more than 8 total guests allowed in or on our property. Absolutely no parties/gatherings are allowed in or on the property. Also, we have exterior cameras to monitor the outside of our home. Any attempt at disabling, redirecting or obscuring the cameras is prohibited and will result in full forfeiture of the security deposit and may, at the owner's discretion, result in the guest being evicted without refund of outstanding nights' rents.
