Guest access Fully updated 1920’s Cottage with large water-facing eat- in country kitchen and two bedrooms with beautiful water and garden views. Bathroom has water view, pedestal sink, tub, well lit mirror and hairdryer. Luxury Queen deep mattresses and closets in each bedroom plus queen sleeper and twin daybed in curtained alcove off LR. Indoor shower runs hot even when the outdoor shower is in use. Our Housekeeper handles all laundry of towels and linens. If you have pets, kindly bring your own pet towel and pet food bowl. We leave out a large ceramic pet water bowl under kitchen bench. We ask guests not to use our laundry except with our permission and to use basement only for stowing suitcases. Attic and Garage contain our personal property and access is not included in the rental. On a windy day, the Garage serves as good wind Screen for the BBQ -- just tip it and roll it onto the stone gravel of the driveway -- otherwise use on slate patio only to avoid damage ... always be sure to close bonnet holes when finished and to leave all ash inside. Embers stay alive for at least 3 days. Our cleaner will move into Stainless steel barrel for disposal as needed. Thank you for taking care of our home. Other things to note At the end of our country road is our broad sugar-sand beach. Stunning panoramic views at all times of the year, especially at sunset or its after glow. Wading, walking, shell-collecting, swimming, bird-watching. Remember the cottage is shoe-free. Do line up your padders just inside the LR door as sand gets into soles of shoes and sneakers. Best if your outdoor shoes and boots remain near the door -- the breezeway may be too cold for your coats in the winter. There are hooks at the back door or in the guest bedroom that can be used. Do pack your yoga mat and novels -- this is the place to stretch out & read gazing at the view! Fresh catch fish sold at nearby Schmidt's on North Sea Road. North Sea Farms is a 2 minute drive towards Sag Harbor for all the fresh milk, cheeses, corn, veg and fruit and lovely pies and cookies!! Our sugar-sand beach at the end of the block provides stunning panoramic views at all times of the year, especially in the after glow of sunset. Wading, walking, shell-collecting, swimming, bird-watching. All beach and water activities at your own risk. Paddle only when waters are calm and with a buddy, in daylight in the summer. Life jackets are mandatory for kayak, boarding or other boating. Never paddle out off season as water will be too cold should you fall in. Always inform someone that you are heading out into the water. Leave only with good memories -- please doubleckeck backs of doors and underbeds -- please take everything with you that you have brought. Here's your departure check list : 1. Lock the boathouse door, the back door, and the sliders to the Master Bedroom. Leave guest bedroom window open an inch for airing home. 2. Press Vacation Button on Frig 3. Leave Thermostat set to 50 degrees -- NEVER TURN OFF in winter! 4. Lock & Leave Front Door in Swan in Breezeway --Close exterior Blue Door-- Safe Travels Home! 5. Come again soon!
