Sangraha

Sangraha is situated in a stunning family estate nestled among the coconut plantations in Ridigama. The colonial style 2 storey villa, built around 1900, is situated in a coconut plantation of a 30 acre land in Ridigama, in Sri Lanka`s Central province. There are 3 bedrooms (1 triple and 1 double and 1 single). The villas also has a central living area off the bedrooms, dining area, driver accommodation, a natural pool and an outdoor lounge area adjacent to the villa. The space A caretaker is available to cook authentic Sri Lankan lunch, English breakfast and Italian dinner which will be at an additional cost. Facilities included: • Cooking facilities are available with a traditional two burner stove, a blender Electric kettle and a fridge for use at all times. • Clay Oven and a barbecue grill. • Two rooms include air conditioning and attached bathrooms with hot water. • Three wheeler to travel short distance (we can pick and drop you from the Kurunegala train/ bus station). • Guests may come and go from the premises as and when they please. • Our staff will always be at hand to answer to any of your needs. Things to do: • Explore the ancient Dutch touch Ridi Viharaya by walking through a jungle trek. • Cycling to the largest stone carved sitting statute in the world. • Hiking a Mountain where an old temple can be explored. • Join us cooking in our open-fire kitchen. • Make your own Pizza in our clay Oven. • Help milking the cows for some fresh milk in your coffee/ tea. • Play Carrom and Cards with your family in the balcony while enjoying the fresh air. • Half court Basketball/ netball shooting area • Play cricket the Sri Lankan way (i.e Polpithi and coconut trees as fielders) • We can arrange local villages to teach you the art of making local sweets. • Enjoy a glass of ‘Yare Tea’ and a slice of Bombay toast at Kopi kade. Other things to note: • If you are lucky peacocks and large squirrels can be seen near the natural pool. • If you are smoking, you can do so outside the rooms. • Pets are always welcome at the premises.
