"LA MAISON D'ALICE" is a family home restored in 2015. The rooms are spacious and well served. 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with walk-in showers and separate toilets. On the mezzanine there is a sofa that converts into a double bed that can sleep an additional 2 people. The house is located on the outskirts of a small farm where 4 horses and ponies live! Everything is fenced, a security gate closes the pool and a large entrance gate fences the site. The space ALICE'S HOUSE: Our cottage built in Causse stone has all its living area on the same level on one floor. A stone staircase leads us to the entrance of the house. We enter directly into a beautiful living room (partly in exposed stone) of 50 m2 all panelled with a ceiling called "cathedral ceiling", open kitchen and living room in front of the fireplace. On this same level, 3 spacious bedroom 1 master bedroom with a 160 bed and its own bathroom and separate toilet. A second bedroom with a 140 bed also called "purple bedroom". A bedroom called "the dormitory" with 3 beds of 90 cm? This room is usually for children. A 2nd shower room and separate toilet serve these last 2 bedrooms. Going up a few steps from the living room, there is a mezzanine living room where a sofa bed can accommodate 2 people. This space is equipped for the TV or reading corner where a large number of books for all ages are available in a library as well as board games. The cottage is equipped with Wi-Fi and Orange fiber optic. In 2020 we converted the shed in front of the pool into a pool house. A simplified kitchen is installed as well as a shower and toilet area. We also have a games room on the ground floor with ping pong table, foosball, rackets and pétanque balls. A pétanque court is in place at the bottom of the green space for those who are interested. For athletes we have bikes of different sizes for family hikes with children. For evenings and cool meals, a wood-burning barbecue and a gas plancha are also available. A petanque court was set up in the summer of 2020 at the same time as the pool house was developed. Pétanque balls are provided. A badminton net is also installed on the ground for sunny days. Finally, the heated saltwater pool, measuring 8 m x 4 m, open from mid-May to the end of September (depending on weather conditions) is completely secure and closed separately by a small gate and a low wall, which makes it independent of the main courtyard. Kids can play in the yard or swing safely. The cottage is fully fenced and closed by a large gate. The gite is located in the municipality of Martiel about ten kilometers from Villefranche-de-Rouergue. In Martiel there is a bakery, a grocery store, a tobacconist, La Poste, a hairdressing salon. The nearest supermarket is 7 km from the cottage, a 10-minute drive. On the tourism side, without going more than thirty kilometers, there are charming tourist sites, such as St Cirq-Lapopie in the Lot department, this village has been voted the most beautiful village in France. Not far from there is the very picturesque village of Bouziès with its towpath that runs along the Lot and joins Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. A little further away in the same department is the famous city of Cahors. If we return to Aveyron we have the beautiful villages of Najac, Bournazel, Belcastel much appreciated by tourists to name a few... without forgetting the markets in the area, that of Villefranche-de Rouergue on Thursday morning, Villeneuve d'Aveyron, Saint Antonin and Limogne en Quercy on Sunday morning, Cajarc on Saturday afternoon....... Many tourist brochures are available in the cottage detailing each of the places mentioned above and many more... Other things to note The capacity of the accommodation is 7 people but there is also a sofa that can be converted into a double bed on the mezzanine if needed.
