Propane gas grill, canoe, fire pit, and horse shoe pit outdoors to enjoy. This cozy place can sleep up to 6 people (extra roll out bed for a seventh upon request). Whatever your passion is, Tall Pines Guest House sits on over an acre of Ponderosa Pines. This area has some of the world's most beautiful geological monuments and towering forests, blue lakes and fast running streams and rivers. With over 2.5 million acres of forest, seven wilderness areas, six rivers, 157 lakes, 1600 miles of trails and the unique landscape of the Newberry National Volcanic Monument, this is truly a recreational paradise, just a few miles south of Sunriver astrological observatory and the Newberry National Volcanic Monument, where Paulina Peak, lakes, caves, waterfalls, creeks and hot springs wait for your enjoyment. Tall Pines Guest House is the perfect place to relax after a full day of activities and just get away from the stress of everyday life, where you will experience the most beautiful skies, forests, rivers, and lakes teeming with wildlife. Guest access La Pine State Park: Two miles down the road, you will enjoy all the beauty and wonder of the Deschutes river! Enjoy the day use areas, dock your boat, fish, swim, tube, hike, picnic, bike, explore, BBQ, canoe, Etc. Quail’s Run Public Golf course: A very convenient 5 minute drive, Quail Run Golf Course will challenge you while providing a relaxing, picturesque backdrop in Central Oregon. Mt. Bachelor: Enjoy a fun-filled day of skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, snow tubing and sled dog rides. Enjoy a convenient 20 minute clear & scenic drive directly to the mountain. Newberry National Volcanic Monument: The highest summit being Paulina Peak at 7,985 feet with an extraordinary view of the Oregon Cascades and the high desert. This summit area also holds two alpine lakes full of trout, East Lake and Paulina Lake. This area is also home to the Lava River Cave, Oregon’s longest known lava tube, easily accessed by highway 97. Deschutes River: Renowned for its fly fishing and home to the Columbia River redband trout. Fly fishermen come from around the world from the last two weeks in May through the first two weeks in June for the hatching of the stoneflies after which the anglers pattern their tied flies. Some sections of the river are also ideal for white water rafting, kayaking and canoeing. Other things to note A few bikes in the shed, Canoe rental with all impliments, safety and transport straps located in shed as well.
