Welcome to our home! You will have a private dedicated space as the property is a duplex. We are 10-15 min from all the attractions of San Diego, and walking distance from 3rd Ave. which is a local hangout with restaurants and breweries among other things. We are happy to meet and offer recommendations, or you can check yourselves in and out on your own. We are committed to being great hosts, and ambassadors for short term rentals. Our neighborhood is peaceful and safe. The other half of the duplex has been up and running for some time. Its the same layout but with some upgrades. It is completely private and you will be the only ones with access. We can sleep 8 people without the need for an air mattress due to the sofa bed. The back bedrooms are tandem so they are connected, but an extra bathroom door means you can bypass one to get to the other for privacy. It can be cozy for 8 people in 800 sq feet with one bathroom, but so far everyone has loved it for their travels. Just make sure everyone likes each other. The front bedroom is small, and has a trundle bed. Kids seem to really like that room. We have a powerful AC mini split in the main living area, and if need be some fans. It is rare it becomes hot enough to matter, but every once in a while we have a week that makes it ward in the furthest bedroom back. We ask that you please find parking on our side of the street in front of our home. The area in front of our home is usually quite open. If not, parking on 2nd st is ample and not a bother at all as it is only 1 house down. We are committed to being great hosts, and ambassadors for short term rentals. Our basic rules are that of respect and communication if there is something we can help with. Mainly that comes down to parties and our neighbors. We do share a fence with them, and they appreciate being able to sleep without issues. So we are not a party house, but we have set up a nice seating area outside. Quiet hours are after 9:00 during the week, and 10:00 on the weekends. We rarely have problems, and are upfront that we are not an event space. The place is private. It shares a wall with our guests next door so we ask people be mindful, but nothing else. You walk up the same small set of stairs in the front and that's it! We are here for whatever you need! You want to be left alone? You got it. Need recommendations from long time locals? We are all over that. Need something you forgot, or some beach stuff.....just let us know. We have made lots of friends, and had many happy guests. We are here for whatever you need. Our neighborhood is safe and peaceful. We live a block or two away and have the good fortune of knowing most of our neighbors. We are also walking distance from 3rd Avenue which is having a bit of a "moment" right now. Great food and breweries opening up, along side some classics. We have lots of great local recommendations for you from hole in the wall off the beaten path dives, to some of the best regional food around at all price points. We can also help you navigate the sights in San Diego, and their food and beverage culture as well. Lots to do! The trolley station is a 5 minute drive if you would like to explore SD proper that way. It can be fun to take the trolley to a Padre game or into downtown, which is what we do. We are close to the 805 which makes navigating the county very easy. Quiet hours are until 9:00 during the week, and 10:00 during the weekend. This doesn't mean whisper quiet, just respect for our neighbors and guests next door. We have a ring system at the front of the unit to perhaps offer on the fly help with a lockbox. But it isn't monitored and there are no other cameras on site. Please park in front of our home, or on 2nd ave. Keeps our neighbors happy. We live close and are here for you.
