Welcome to the Mickel House! This cute house is located just blocks away from a cute park. It’s also a few miles from Burns where there is a good selection of restaurants and shopping. We are close to the Steens Mountains, Malhuer Wildlife refuge and so much more! Harney County is the best place to bird watch in the spring, with over 300 different species of birds migrating through! The space The Mickel House I was built in 1930, an original “mill” house. It has been completely updated with fresh paint, new floorings and custom bathroom. It’s warm and comfortable, the perfect place to read a book by our propane fire place, or snuggle on the couch and watch a movie. Or leave your things and make a quick drive into town for dinner and or a movie! I LOVE to cook, so the kitchen is stocked with whatever you may need to whip up a meal! As well as a cute little coffee/wine bar! Also the bathroom is furnished with all your toiletries, including a few things we do often forget while traveling! And new fluffy towels! The bedroom is upstairs is split into two spaces, both boasting a new queen bed and nice linens! Not 100% private! But a partial wall splits up the space. There is no bed or bedroom on the main floor. You must go up the stairs to get to the beds. There is a floor mattress and a comfy couch that can be used downstairs. We have a washer and dryer set up with detergent and dryer balls also! I have stayed in many AirBnBs and I’m very particular about them! This has everything I look for in a home away from home! Guest access You’ll have complete and total access to this entire property! There is a small porch and patio with a table and chairs in the back. As well as a large fenced back yard...just in case your fur baby needs to stretch their legs! Other things to note Everything in this house is there for you! Our tv has a fire stick, feel free to use your own Amazon Prime or Netflix accounts! But don’t forget to erase your password! The coffee and cream is complimentary...everything in the kitchen is there for you to use! We are happy to allow your fur babies to stay, but with a few exceptions. We need to know if they will be there. We have to up our cleaning game when they are, so knowing helps us plan our days better! Please never allow your pet to be left alone inside the house. You are welcome to leave them in the fenced yard, but at your own risk! Also, please no animals on the furniture! Animals on the furniture makes our cleaning process painstakingly long, and I would like to be respectful of people that may be staying without pets. It’s difficult to get animal hair off of every surface! I appreciate your respect for this.
