SOLITAIRE LODGE. Enjoy old Muskoka tradition in this 85 year old retreat. The lodge sleeps 18 comfortably and is equipped for self-catering. Set back from Lake Solitaire on pleasant ground, this lodge is spacious but cozy with a special corner for every member of your family. It fronts on a sandy beach on Lake Solitaire where the water is shallow, making it suitable for families with young children. The space Sleeps: 18 people 7 bedrooms 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed 3 bedrooms each with 2 twin beds 2 bedrooms each with 4 twin beds 3 full bathrooms, one on the main floor and two on the second level. Indoor Sauna on the main floor. Pillow cases, top and bottom sheets provided. Please, bring your own pillows, blankets and comforters. Full kitchen, with dishwasher and two refrigerators. Fireplace Outdoor fire pit BBQ (propane provided) Firewood can be purchased at the front office. Guests have the left side of Solitaire beach set aside for their use. Shallow entry into the water, great for children. Includes Canoe, Kayak, Paddle board, life jackets and paddles during the summer. No air conditioning Bring your food, beverages, toiletries, toilet paper, paper towels and towels. Please also bring your own pillows, blankets and comforters Garbage will not be picked up, it is the responsibility of the occupants of the unit to dispose of their garbage. Blue garbage bins are located behind the office Guest access Hiking is our specialty! With over 70 km of hiking trails at the Limberlost Forest provide access to innumerable special natural features as well as tours around a number of the larger lakes. Bicycles, paddles, hiking boots, and snowshoes are welcome and encouraged. We also have over 25km of groomed ski trails in the winter.
