Single family vacation home centrally located on Lake Hartwell just 2 mi off I-85. Updated and well maintained. Covered dock on deep water with sitting area and swim ladder. Great for Clemson football weekends, summer rental, or a fishing trip. 100" projection home theater system with DirecTV Now, ESPN, HBO, Netflix, & Showtime. 20 minutes to Clemson by car or boat. 10-15 minutes to Portman Marina and area campgrounds. Nearby shopping and restaurants. The space Our cottage is a single story, 1200 sq.ft. house with three bedrooms and one bathroom. A deck and brick patio facing the lake with outdoor seating and fire pit make it the perfect place to get away and unwind. 3-night minimum stay between Memorial Day and Labor Day. 2-night minimum stay all other dates. Be sure to check the listing photos. The walk down to the dock and lake is on a hill. Its a short but moderately strenuous walk and some guests may find it challenging. The location is heavily wooded and on the lake. There are insects, spiders, frogs, etc. especially in the summer months. We spray for bugs regularly and keep the house very clean but please consider that you may encounter these woodland creatures during your stay. Guest access You have access to the entire house, off-street parking in the driveway, the deck, yard, and dock. Our boat stays in the slip but you may park your boat(s) on either side of the dock. The fishing boat pictured is not currently at the dock. Other things to note General -Rate includes bath and bed linens -Dogs are allowed but are limited to 2 dogs and each must be under 30 lbs. We are strict about keeping animals off furniture and will withhold deposit money if damage occurs. -Swim at your own risk. Hundreds have died from drowning on Lake Hartwell. Wear a life jacket at all times! Life jackets are not available to use at the house so you must bring your own. -Please review the pictures with the listing. The walk down to the lake and dock includes stairs and a considerable slope. -The property is listed as not safe for infants and children under 12. This is because 1) the proximity to the water, 2) the outlets and cabinets are not childproofed, and 3) the bunk bed does not have a railing. Please consider this if you have children in your party. Dock -There are 6 Adirondack chairs on the dock and a bench swing for guests to use. -Feel free to use the dock and/or shoreline to park your boat(s) and other watercraft. Our boat stays in the covered slip and on the lift. Entertainment -There is a 100" home theater projection system and a Amazon Fire in the family room with access to AT&T TV Now (basic cable) Netflix, HBO, Showtime, ESPN, FS1, SEC, MLB.tv, etc. -There is a 55" TV in one bedroom and a 32" TV in another bedroom with a Roku offering the same streaming options -The house is wired inside and outside with speakers. The stereo has Bluetooth or there is an Airport Express that can be used to Airplay from your phone -The house is wired for DirecTV, so feel free to bring your own receiver if you'd like.
