It is 30 minutes from Choctaw Casino in Durant, Okl. It is also close to a variety of restaurants, some on the water. Then there's the neighborhood beach with a wonderful sandy bottom, and the neighborhood boat ramp that's 2 minutes away. Fishing is really big at Lake Texoma, and there are highly recommended fishing guides who can pick you up at the efficiency on the way to the boat ramp. Only an hour away from Dallas for a fun, relaxing getaway! The Happy Cow Efficiency is attached to the Happy Cow Lake House, but has a separate entrance and separate parking (R side of concrete driveway) which is right in front of the efficiency. OTHERWISE, THERE ARE NO SHARED AREAS. Parking: The HCLH has the L side of concrete driveway which will accommodate a 41 ft long boat trailer and truck, a long shell driveway, and parking in front of fence. You will have access to the house, the gameroom building (party barn) which has a/c, heat, mini frig, pool table and dartboard, a one car carport, a long gravel driveway, the left side of the paved driveway, a long stretch of easement parking between the street and the fence, the front porch with 3 Adirondack chairs, side deck with plenty of seating and a picnic table, also the backyard patio and deck with 4 lounge chairs and umbrellas, and the fenced-in backyard for pets. Main deck has infrared BBQ grill and outdoor sink. Please note that the weight limit for the bunk bed is 200 pounds for the upper bunk and 350 lb for the lower bunk. Please be aware this is out of Pottsboro city limits, and therefore is less regulated. Most houses are nice, but there are some properties in disrepair. Many people are retired, some are weekenders, and others WORK FOR A LIVING, so please respect their need for peace and quiet. Lake Texoma has 1,000 miles of shoreline, 89 thousand acres of fish-thriving water, and is an angler's paradise. You can walk to the beach, but will need car to get to pay beaches, area restaurants, or to Lighthouse Marina if you want to rent paddleboards, motorboats, pontoon boats, etc. Please feel free to use beach wagons (found in gameroom) to haul your supplies to beach. There are also yard games including croquet, horseshoes, beanbag toss, frisbee golf, bocci ball, and more that you may use (just put away after use please). In the house, there is a selection of puzzles (you finish it, I'll Modge Podge it and display it!). There are also art supplies and coloring books for kids and adults and an assortment of games for evening family fun. The gourmet kitchen has gas and electric ranges, gas oven, microwave, Keurig coffee-maker and an assortment of kitchen utensils, pots and pans, etc. The bookshelf has an assortment of books and magazines for you to read. The house has Roku TV and AT&T internet. Bring your password from your Netflix or Amazon accounts to stream your movies, or watch an assortment of antenna and free movie channels. You can also rent streaming movies. Check in anytime after 10:00am and check out by noon.
