Escape to the country and settle into our charming 100+-year-old farmhouse on a working cattle farm. With original wood floors, modern comforts, spacious rooms, and plenty of old farmhouse character, it’s a true home away from home. Spend your days enjoying the peaceful countryside and cattle grazing nearby, catch an unforgettable sunset, then cozy up around the fire pit with firewood provided. A perfect place to slow down, relax, and stay a while! The space The farmhouse offers 4 bed rooms, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen, dinning room, living room, bar/game room and an enclosed sun porch. Outside has a roofed front porch with swing and rocking chairs, fire pit with chairs, grill, and picnic table. Need to work during your stay? We have a small desk and chair located in the king bedroom. It is lightweight enough that it can be moved to whatever location you choose in the home. Please note that all the bedrooms are located upstairs and the upstairs bathroom is accessed through one of the bedrooms. We have a full bathroom downstairs as well. We are happy to be a pet-friendly home and love welcoming guests traveling with their furry family members! Because pets regularly stay in the home, we cannot guarantee a completely pet-dander-free environment and are not responsible for individual allergies or sensitivities to pet dander. Upstairs: -Bedroom with King size bed and TV -Two separate bedrooms with queen size beds (only 1 one of these rooms has a TV) -Bedroom with full size bed and TV -Enclosed sun porch with sitting furniture (note that the sun porch has tons of windows to open, but it does not have heating or cooling) -Full bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo Downstairs: Kitchen Dinning room Living room with TV Bar/Game room with swivel TV Full bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo. We also have a roll-away twin bed, futon, pack-n-play, and air mattress in the house if you need. Guest access For your safety, please stay within the white fence around the farmhouse. Keep in mind, this house is on an operating hay and cattle farm, so you will see tractors, trucks and farmers passing by. We have a family garden adjacent to the house - help yourself to fresh vegetables when in season! Please only take what you need. Please only park in front of the farmhouse. There are two staircases in the house, one is steep and narrow. Please be cautious and watch your head when using these classic old farmhouse style stairs. All Attendees must abide by Virginia local laws. We are a pet friendly home, so please be aware if you have a sensitivity to pet dander. **Please Avoid the following: - Glitter, confetti, silly string or anything hard to clean up - Tacks or nails on walls/ceilings - Underage drinking - Use of illegal drugs - Smoking of any form inside the house - Open flames inside the house - Fireworks Questions or concerns?
