The space cool and cosy studio flat directly at Monte Verita,a place of power in the South county of Ticino ,Switzerland.The beautiful town of Ascona,the Piazza and lake are easily reachable on foot.Old stone steps lead you down into town. There is also a Buxi Taxi service during the Summermonths.Countless hiking pathways thorough the woods with places to sit and enjoy the view or a drink and facilities to grill your own barbeque as well as the world famous Hotel Monte Verita with its Garden,the only tea plantation in Swizterland,Japanese Teahouse where you can enjoy a traditional Japanese tea ceremony (registration required) and Museum are also within short walking distance.At Parceval Green or in town you can rent bycicles if you wish . The Piazza is the lively hub of Ascona with numerous great restaurants offering bautiful seating under the shady trees directly at the lake and traditional Grotti to cater for all tastes.The old town with its cobbled streets is charming and you ll find different shops ,art galleries and boutiques and also a great little Gelateria!The weekly artisan Market is held on Tuesdays at the Piazza. In October the famous Jazz Festival guarantees a lively athmosphere.You can take Boat trips to the Island Isola Brissago ,an arboretum with special exotic trees and plants and a beautiful restaurant or the neighboring town of Locarno which holds the annual Locarno Filmfestival and Locarno Musicfestival with international acts.There are many more events and excursions for your enjoyment .You will find various brochures and Timetables in the flat. Take a stroll at the lakeside promenade or take a dip in the clear lake in one of the public beaches. There s a carport for your use (first one the left of main entrance) The Swimmingpool :can be accessed through the garage (-1).Through the glass door on your left as you enter the garage. You ll find a rack to deposit your shoes before entering. Please shower before swimming. the pool water is mountain spring water. The Fitness room : at ground level (0). take the second door on your left as you enter the building.(the first door belongs to our Housekeeper Manuel :-)) the door which is always open is the Fitness room. You ll find a hometrainer and Ping-Pong table. ALWAYS bring your key with you ! The tap water is clear mountain spring water! so please enjoy it !
