Hersey Haiku House

A radical departure from the more traditional farmhouses that spot the Millbrook countryside, this new building designed and built by visual Artist John Hersey is particularly suited for the thinker, artist, romantic, naturalist, and lover of Zen-like minimalism. Please be advised that parties or events are not possible at this time. The space Interior is deceptively spacious with soaring ceiling, exposed wooden beams, and 68' glass wall. Situated in the woods the house almost disappears in a reflection of its very private setting, enlivened with art, music, and books. Guest access Surrounded by horse country, the small jewel of a village (accessible within 7 minutes by car) has quality restaurants and antiques. Equestrian venues, sporting clays at Orvis and other Preserves, the Bard summer music festival, and beagling in wide open farm land are all available in this magical hamlet.
